When I first saw it, the gray dial was my least favorite. But the watch looks so much different in person than in the pics, that the gray dial has become my favorite version. Really sharp and understated watch.
@@beyond36horology Then you can't wear a Squale dive watch in the water either, most watches made with swimming in mind have polished surfaces. It's meant to be used, f you want something to look at, better buy a painting.
I have a microbrand watch with the Miyota 9015 and it has somewhere around 40h power reserve, so I guess it should be similar for this Miyota 9 series movement. On another note, I remember seeing quartz Citizen watches with colourful dials kinda like the Tsuyosa but I can’t seem to remember where I saw it or any other details, if you know about it or anyone else in the comments knows about it, please do share! This NB1050 kinda looks too vanilla though, nothing seems too special about it but it’s good that it has the Miyota 9 series instead of the 8 series like in the Tsuyosa. Thanks for the video! 👍🏼
I think you are refering to the Hyperion range which I have also reviewed. Thanks for your comments. Yes it is plain vanilla unfortunately and I bought it because it was affordable and that I had also needed to get something.
I recently bought this in black. The watch wears little bit long because the male endlinks add to the overall lug to lug length. The lugs are also flat and does not curve down. I have a 6.25 inch wrist and the watch fits me BARELY. I hope citizen makes a bracelet with female end links for this. I do not recommend this for people who have smaller than 6.5 inch wrist. Unless, you plan on changing the bracelet with a strap.
I am aware that the lugs just out but I didn't have issues with it, with my 6.25inch wrist. Perhaps our wrist shape is slightly different such that the case doesn't sit well for you?
Not even close with the sarb. The hands, the rare, the lug size especially the male endlink, is way behind the sarb . Even the ar coating on this citizen is not that good.
This one destroys the SZSB Seiko line which has been considered a Sarb replacement too but you are right. The dauphine hands, the case step, the proportions , the overall look and feel of the Sarb is hard to beat . Still , an excellent Citizen watch .
Yes, this model cannot entirely replace the SARB. That said, there is now no SARB and I would dare say it would be priced much higher than before should Seiko relaunch it.
Not only is this a top quality watch, the price is incredible
Thanks knyou
Citizen makes amazing watches, thanks mate for the video.
Thank you very much for watching
Wow it looks fantastic very classy
Yes indeed.
i got this watch from yodobashi last month when i was in Japan. absolutely love this watch. citizen is criminally underrated.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Did you visit Ginza Seiko?

Glad you like the watch
Is the back case sapphire glass or mineral❤😊😮
It says sapphire at the back but I cannot be sure if it refers just to the top crystal
The back case is mineral glass.
I want one but I just bought a green Fugu Promaster 😅
Got to catch em all
Beautiful.
Thank you for watching
What an elegant looking watch. What is the accuracy and power reserve?
42hr PR and -10 / +30 accuracy. 4 ticks per second.
4 hz - 8 ticks per second
@@davida8407 4Hz is 4 ticks/sec.
How about the bracelet? Better than Seiko?
I'm not sure which bracelet to compare with though.
Could you please tell me your wrist size?? I love this watch but i cant try it on cause im from europe. not sure if it'll be to big for me
nvm you say it in the video
6.25 inch
@@beyond36horology already got the watch, thanks to your video.
It’s a 100m WR , why did you say in the description its not suitable for pool and beach?
You don't want that nice shiny bezel scratched by the pool or the sand.

Is there a similar style quality with quartz/solar/ecodrive ?
Not that I am aware of.
check out the CB1120 line. Titanium eco drive "world timer"
You realy have a 6,25 Inch wrist? Looks good. Im scared to buy because of my 6,5 Inch wrist
Yes a I measured my wrist at the thinnest point.
I wish it have a titanium bracelet 😊
Then the case would have to be titanium too

very accurate, 6.5inch wrist and barely pull it off, the bracelet have a lack of adjustment too, so it doesnt fit nicely on 6.5inch wrist

I have seen the video changing with strap , not helping for small wrist either, still hanging on wrist because the lug is bit flat not curving
I find Citizen designs successful, but they need to improve their mechanisms more.
Think their mechanism is okay, but design is slowly catching up as can be seen by latest releases.

Should be over 3k
Rolex over 12k
Interesting thought

@@crBudgetWatchesthe only downside of this Citizen is the long lug to lug size. 2mm shorter from each size would be perfect.
