There's an extra layer of lore to truly appreciate the ending. The mission briefing said Mortality Absolute which means it's a suicide mission and the controller said "Die well brothers" after launching the missile from the ship because they're basically dropping a nuke on their position and they're not expected to survive the blast. There is a lore quote that goes "Only in death does duty end" so when the sergeant says "Our duty is done. It's time to go," what he really means is it's time to die. THAT'S why Titus says "Not yet old man." And turns to fight his way out and not accept death.
Titus mental fortitude is him being literally fearless. Filled with hate for the enemy and believing in the emperor of mankind. From a young age he fought instead of cowering.
That’s not a demon it’s a chaos sorcerer of Tzeentch that’s been mutated you can tell because it bleeds, because daemons do not bleed in the traditional sense. Also yes Titus is that much of a stone cold MF that he can use his will and faith like the sisters of battle or black Templars to push back Psyker powers
@ blessed by the Emperor maybe but emperor’s champion is a title given to Black Templars that receive visions by the emperor and are then given a Black Blade it’s an exclusive title for the Black Templar
@@Battlechicken12 The tradition of the Emperor's Champion dates back to the Horus Heresy before the inception of the Black Templars. The first Emperor's Champion was First Captain Sigismund of the Imperial Fists Legion. There have been Emperor's Champions in other Chapters, usually Imperial Fists or their successors. The Crimson Fists have also been known to field an Emperor's Champion, though far less frequently than the Black Templars.

Hi, thank you for the reaction. I like it how you are as excited as I am about W40k. The statue at the beginning is not the Emperor as far as I see it. It is a statue of his "gene-father" Roboute Guilliman. Primarch of the Ultramarines.
And the deamon prince or whatever at the end was using the fears of the space marines to defeat them. But Titus knows no fear. That was unexpected by the demon and Titus couldn't be influenced to be killed. He is what the emperor wanted the space marines to be: "And they shall know no fear". It's like Yoda said in Star Wars Episode 1: Fear leads to the dark side. Fear leads to angry, angry leads to hate. Hate, leads to suffering ;)
Space Marines take children as recruits, 10 to 13 years old sometimes younger. Space Marine chapters have their own unique training methods they are extremely brutal and harsh and many children chosen don't survive. Even the surgery to transform them into towering super soldiers is extremely hazardous.
First, welcome to the community!!! One or two already mentioned it was a shrine to the Primarch, not the Emperor. The “daemon” were actually Tzangors, the mutant beastmen favored by the Chaos god Tzeentch. They are a common enemy in SM2 when fighting the Thousand Sons. The Warhammer Community site put out an article yesterday or today that details 9 Easter eggs / details in this episode that are easily missed. It’s worth checking out if you are interested.
Honestly I was not familiar with the lore before watching this episode. I watched it like 5 times after my first watch. Soon after, I started googling the lore and watching RUclips videos! 😂😂😂
5:03 yup exactly, now imagine a whole crew being immune to mind controlling heresy....now you got the grey knights. 40K lore is insane but im glad another fan joined.
1:24 Not the Emperor. It’s Roboute Guilliman. Ultramarines Primarch. He is the current lord commander of the Imperium and the ruling Imperial Regent. Lord Robot Gorillaman.
Sir i will say then explain... i love your reactions i watched for a while on your 40k ones. On this vid by basically everything you i said was wrong. This is after SM2, not before. Titus has his champion laurels and more service studs then he did in the game. And this is not a standard psyker, it's an astro path is a powerful psyker who specializes in communicating. They lost all comms when they landed so you would need an astro path to communicate with the ship. He's basically half warp defense, half walkie talkie.

Really loving this Warhammer content man. You may want to check out Rogue Trader, however I will warn you that Owlcat makes very complex games. Rogue Trader isn’t as complex as their last game but it takes some getting used to. It has lots of content and a shit ton of lore. You can choose to be heretical or faithful or neither. Good times :)
That was actually Roboute Guilliman and not the Emperor, Big G instead of Big E. Primarch of the Ultramarines, Son of The Emperor, Current Leader of the Imperium. And the unofficial lord of taxes and logistics lol 😂
NGL, kinda disappointed you cut out the reactions to the dialogue and made this video soooooooo short compared to others. Other than that, great reaction.
@JoshRossRogan yea. I wish I could’ve uploaded the whole thing but after hours editing and re uploading, this was the only version RUclips didn’t block.
Some of the theories about how Titus is fearless and incorruptible state that he more than likely has a underdeveloped or deformation in his amygdala. Which is an area that governs the fight or flight responses in most creatures. This brings into question exactly how chaos corrupt people. And this explanation makes it seem like chaos can only corrupt you by exploiting your fears. And since Titus cannot feel fear, he cannot be corrupted.

My only complaint about the episode is that it wasn’t long enough😅

We need a full multiple season series like this, and we need it about 5 goddamn years ago.
