I hate living in a small town because ingredients like shea butter all come in plastic containers. We don't have any awesome bulk food or bulk product stores except for sprouts (which is still super tiny) :/
I am very interested in living a zero waste lifestyle and I was just wondering how you obtain some of the ingredients you use to make your products with, without packaging like the baking powder, coconut oil, etc. I live in a very small town where they are harder to find. Thank you for your time.
I have to dry this out :D I actually have already a great recipe, but maybe this one works way more better for me. I melt cornstarch, backing soda and coconut oil in 3 equals part over a double boiler or I make a liquid version and just mix backing soda with water and fill up into a glas spray bottle.
Wow, i love your accent Lauren Singer :) Good recipe. I use this all the year...except summer days, because it's too hot and the oil can mess with your t-shirts
Thanks for this! I've been wanting to go natural with deoderant for a while but unfortunately all the Lush brand natural deoderants I checked out smelled rank. Home made might be the go!
Wonderful video! My laziness has created alot of anxiousness for your shop to start up again! Id loooove some easy access trash free, healthy laundry powder (:
I tried a recipe like this before, but I got an allergic reaction, unfortunately. I think it was the baking soda. Now I've switched to a liquid deodorant with a witch hazel base and tea tree oil. This works fine, but you need to reapply after two hours or so. How long does your recipe keep you fresh? ;)

How do you obtain the ingredients waste free? Particularly coconut oil. I purchase it in bulk but in plastic containers.
You are a godsend! Thank You!

Thanks Lauren! I'll be sure to tinker with the ingredients you laid out for us. And damn you're beautiful! Take care
Pleaase I don't understand: what's the last ingredient? Arrowroot, baking soda, coconut oil and...? I don't get it. Help me please! Many thanks :)
Thanks! You've really inspired me to move towards zero waste. Can I ask what you do about toilet paper? So much packaging...

Thanks for this! I've asked on another video of yours... where do you buy your bulk raw ingredients package free?

+nennia Maybe try to use less backing soda ;). Backing soda is the most important thing in a long-lasting deodorant as far as I know... :)
thank you!
This stuff must probably work. Her skin is flawless. Does she even make her own makeup?
having trouble finding bulk shea butter. i can only find it sold in plastic containers any advice?
Where can I get shea butter?
Should you use regular baking soda or aluminum free baking soda when making this?
Great music too!
What about those makeup containers
We just use lemon/lime... Can someone tell me why make deodorant? Or is there a reason to not use lemon/lime?
