@@alfienaylor1587 I think the overall vibe of Corrie was lighter back then even with the occasional serial killer most of the characters seemed happy now everyone is just bleak

It's emotional to watch Fred like this. My grandad looked and sounded just like Fred, he even sung that very same song to me... it's uncanny. Love it, but miss him every day, as well as the character.. ❤
@@bambiesdoomsdayblue it's crazy because I just saw the news, do you think I may of spoke his death into existence 12 days ago when I made the original comment?
“And in tonight’s episode Deirdre has some disturbing news, Ivy has an unexpected visitor, while Fred has a sinking feeling, all coming up in half an hour here on ITV”
Yes but the whole in Platts garden & underneath their house, has now been filled with foam!. 😏 I just wonder why this foams, not now clogging up the streets whole sewage system!. 😉
Sad to hear the real John Savident passed away. As it happens a sink hole caused the road some old friends were living on to collapse. It very nearly brought their house down on top of them! It turns out there used to be a brickworks nearby and the street was over an old claypit that started to cave in.
Fred would have had more luck telling Joshua to go ask for cookies or something. Joshua doesn't understand why the ground shouldn't be eating Fred- probably thinks it is a game
since when did uncle fred fall down a chuffin hole in the garden!!?? i used to watch it every day when fred was in it and i never recall him falling down a sink hole LOL
This is what coronation street should be about humour today’s Corrie is awful I stop watching it 7 years ago put it out of its misery and take off the air
The way Audrey runs out saying there’s always something with him as if he falls through sinkholes on a daily basis 😂
This creased me 😂😂

RIP John Savident. A fine actor, I say, a fine actor.
It's just acting, they got him out of the sink hole after the scene.

Hello little baby from Fred elliot
Fred was the best character Corrie ever had !! “HELLO LITTLE BUDGIE”
I say, little budgie, I say
He passed recently.
Forever chasing Audrey, who as ever remains unimpressed. "I've fallen down a sink hole. I say! I've fallen down a sink hole."
A piece of my childhood gone. Thank you John, always appreciated seeing you on Corrie.
When Corrie had a sense of humor not like the show it is today its still good today but much more darker storylines
There was a dark storyline ongoing at that time, the Killer Katy one.
@@alfienaylor1587 I think the overall vibe of Corrie was lighter back then even with the occasional serial killer most of the characters seemed happy now everyone is just bleak
@@unknown_7148 well said and true
@@unknown_7148yes that’s right. It was more natural. That’s why I prefer old Corrie to modern Corrie
I agree. I haven't watched corrie for 4 or 5 years now because the humor isn't the same anymore, and the storylines just go on forever.
I can't get out I say I can't get out.
Sam kik you out off here
" I say I say I say Ashley can you lend me a hand ?"
Rest in peace to a legend ❤
What is it with Corrie and bloomin sinkholes?! 😂
LOOOOL
Had to be one of the platts haha
What I have discovered from looking back on the "classic" episodes on ITV3 is that they reuse a lot of the same ideas after some time.

Classic Corrie. I SAY CLASSIC CORRIE ! I am still literally laughing out really loud whenever I see this scene 😂.
I love it when he says “go and get your auntie Audrey “ to Joshua so friendly like that in his voice.
“Go and get your auntie Audrey”
