Daytime television actors past and present will come together on Saturday, May 9th at 8 PM (EST) for Daytime Cares: A Live Event, a live variety show honoring and uplifting fans during the COVID-19 crisis. Hosted by Daytime Emmy Award winner Laura Wright and The Locher Room host Alan Locher - and presented in partnership with Daytime Cares, a Daytime TV Community spearheaded by Arianne Zucker and Shawn Christian spotlighting non-profit organizations offering COVID-19 support and resources - the show will be live-streamed on The Locher Room RUclips Channel and on Facebook. StreamYard.com is sponsoring the event.

Even funnier are those in the chat who didn't get they wrote it as a comedy bit, thinking Michael was treated badly, upset. Those chat comments are gold as well, and James & Michael much be cracking up over them. They did a great job!
Great show Alan these actors show why Daytime has heart and as their fans we appreciate and love them for using their platform for charity is even better

The Locher Room Thank you for reply back me and I will be back on May 14th for the OLTL Reunion I for one can’t wait I miss my soap I started watching OLTL when it premiered in 1968. FYI I remember when my Mom would listen to GL on the radio right before it was on TV.
Alan, I so want to thank you for giving us all of these reunions with these soap actors I am so thankful for that as last night was just special. I just love seeing soap stars in their natural confines at home as us fans feel so closely connected to them. There were so many great moments in here starting with Victoria and Kristian that was awesome seeing those two it's like Kristian is passing the torch down to Victoria. Later on, I loved seeing Steve and the Jackal together but my favorite moment of the night was Stacy & Eric being joined by Linsey it was a real DAYS take over at that point that was funny. Sonny (Maurice) was amazing as his story is so inspiring. Finola and Nancy seeing them were special. I loved seeing how the B&B cast got together and Heather setting up those drinks. I got a great surprise from Marci and saw Lamon. Maura ended the night special she was a fitting last guest and all of the musical performances were great too. Please do more of these big events if you can, hopefully if they decide to do the Daytime Emmys from home you can interview them.
I really appreciated watching this even though it took me most of the morning! My favorite part was Maura West reading that poem. I keep coming back to hear it again. I love it! I found the poem online and sent it to my mother who says she had a Edgar A Guest book in the family. Lovely reading of it! Thank you it was a present to me for this mother's day!
So fun to see everyone in their natural habitat! Love to see that on-screen enemies are off-screen friends. Thanks to all of you for doing this for your fans and for the charities you support. Now hurry and get back to work! We miss you all!

I remember thinking back then that while other actresses had their perfectly plastered hair & makeup, Judith wasn't afraid to play it real. The way she portrayed her emotions was so raw. She wasn't afraid to wreck herself - a real character actor. There really aren't many that real. She was loved in her Whose The Boss role, but imo, I think her depth as an actor was wasted. I've always wanted to see her in very intense movie roles & wish I could have seen her on stage.

When Carly and Mike were mourning their stillborn daughter, Nora, I was in bed recovering from the delivery and emergency surgery, mourning our stillborn son David. I cried a lot with them during those scenes.

Was everybody from Y&R busy except Jordi? Well if you count Wes who played Chance for awhile. Kind of disappointed not more from Y&R were on. Of course GH and DAYS were well represented which is totally understandable. Loved seeing the DAYS cast. Loved that GL and AMC were included. I know it was impossible to have everybody on even from the cancelled shows. Guess Maura was there to represent both GH and ATWT. Along with Shawn Christian who was also on ATWT and DAYS. Great show Alan.
Maura West played Diane Jenkins on Y&R and Andrea Evans was on for a year in the mid 80's as Patty Williams before Patty went crazy. Heather Tom was the first grown up Victoria Newman.
