The trick is you want the picture to be sharp all the way through - kind of the exact opposite of that "shallow" depth of field look we love on DSLR's. Likely the sharpness won't be there all the way through. If you google "shoot forced perspective on iphone" there are some examples, but the more extreme size difference, the less the sharpness matches, and the more it "gives it away."
