I'd only ever heard of that glitch or seen it happen when someone like Decino was demonstrating it. That was interesting.
Also... Don't google varicocelectomy.
I've already had it happen to me twice this year (not counting levels that intentionally use the effect), which is two more times than I thought I'd end up running into the bug.

MAPU makes a really nice use of its space. It feels like a great example of how limitations can encourage creativity. And it has a really nice looking "u" too.

Thanks for the playthrough, Spectere! It was my first map on my own without my bro's help. Pretty sure the weird line in the last room was just a sector error because I struggled with lighting in Vanilla Doom vs. GZ Doom

Yeah, I can definitely see the lighting causing issues across ports considering how intricate it is here. It works really well, though, and it kind of invokes the same feelings as a new WAD I played recently called RUST (which also had some compatibility issues with GZDoom, funnily enough).
A Vanilla project? Nice. I really gotta get back to Doom. Reminds me of the "Duke is Ten" thing from 2006 where every map was supposed to look like "10" in 2D mode. I actually recognize this mapper's (Map21) name from like 20 years ago, we played Duke and took part in some of the same CBPs, he was always good with textures and trimming.
You should! :D There's been a lot of great projects lately, some of which aligned with its 30 year anniversary.
On the other hand, I really need to revisit the Duke scene at some point. I haven't really looked into it much since the late 90s. I'm glad it's stayed alive throughout the years.
Not sure why but I for some reason find it mildly amusing how on the "u" map they modeled it after a lower-case serif u.

So, I just looked up Varicocelectomy. It's a lot worse than a vasectomy, same area but involving the veins.
