  • Hi YT fam! In today’s video we are discussing home items that just arent worth the money (IMO). If these items work for you and your lifestyle … I want nothing more than you to continue to use them. I have collected a small list of items I think everyone shouldn't buy. Thinking about saving your money on these items!!!!

My husband brought home an avocado slicer and thought he was bringing me diamonds😂. I’ve spent 6 years declutterring all the kitchen gadgets he keeps buying. I finally had to actually sit him down for a serious conversation about unnecessary gadgets 🤣. I think I broke his heart😢.

One person's "waste of money" is another person's "favorite thing I've ever owned" I guess. I'm personally very frugal in most areas of my life, and I don't understand some of things people spend their money on. My sister for example loves her designer purses but it's beyond me why anyone would ever spend THOUSANDS of dollars on a purse lol! I have learned though to buy the best "quality" I can afford, because too many items I've bought because they were a bargain, or on sale, ended up disappointing me in the long run. I try to never buy anything on "impulse" and that practice has helped!

Some people spend that same money on other items that may be seen as "frivolous" as well. We each love different things for different reasons and it should be OK. It is not because I am spending 100 dollars on a candle that I am not helping people. Just food for thoughts

Being bombarded by the things influencers promoting, made me feel crazy and I had to step back from watching YT. Everything seemed so needed, until I realized, I don’t have 4000 sq ft home. I snapped back into reality, stopped stressing myself to fit in to a world that wasn’t me. We have to be very careful standing on the edge of this slippery slope. Thank you for your honesty and faithful creativity.❤

*Coffee Maker, Candles, Single Use Items* . YES and Thank you! I'm single and have a two cup coffee habit in the morning. My Black and Decker Brew and Go has served me well, no kups or filters needed and no hot plate to burn out. For home scents, I'll go e.o. diffuser every time. Yes, I burn candles for ambiance but I'm not dropping big bucks on them. If the basics of kitchen essentials can't the job done maybe it's time to visit Grandma. Hannah, well said!

I absolutely love my roomba! Again everyone’s needs are different. Mines picks up so much at home and I still get it done the right way. Mines was also only $100 and totally worth it. It helps me start my cleaning process every time I need to mop. I start it while I clean up my kitchen and when I’m done I vacuum the slightest bit and mop. You can totally notice that the room a picked up a whole lot while I did other things around.

I love, love, LOOOOOVE my Breville fancy smancy coffee maker, lol! I really do. I've had it for a year and it's one of my most favorite things I own, I use it twice a day. Now that towel warmer...my husband bought me one for Christmas years ago, and I think it was a "bowling ball" gift, lol (remember when Fred Flintstone bought Wilma a bowling ball as a gift?). My husband drags that thing out every fall, and warms his towels in it...he's bougie, lol!!!

Oh Hannah! Love my ice maker and Roomba! LOL. I watch you and 2-3 others on youtube so I'm sure I missed the hype on these things. My husband was running to Sonic daily for my ice and finally saw the GE ice maker years ago and bought it for me for Christmas. It is used all day, every day, by everyone in the family. Love it. And... with all this use, it's still running strong. For the Roomba, I think you just need to be clear on what your expectations are when you purchase. Our home is 4500sf and there are 7 of us. We have hardwood floors and our Roomba is set to run daily for all walkways. We manually vacuum the rest of the house 3 times a week. We don't wear shoes in the house but the Roomba insures we don't track anything throughout the house on a daily. I think you would be disappointed and think it's a waste if you're expectation is that it's going to go through and do all of your vacuuming for you. The way we use it works perfectly for us.

I totally agree with you on most of these items but I have to say the towel warmer is an absolute game changer. I live in Jersey and it gets very cold in the winter. My bathroom is always cold and I decided I needed one. My husband thought I was crazy but now says no home should ever be without one. Yes it takes up space but it makes a great difference in your shower experience.

Get it girl!! Living in San Diego where it is 75 degrees literally year round.... a towel warmer seems excessive. I'll just force my husband to do it. I'm gonna live vicariously through you and your towel warmer!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXO

I agree with you on all of these! I have an irobot and it's so inconsistent. We have one of the fancy ice makers at work and it stays broken half the time.

It’s true Hannah . There’s a lot of items that we just don’t need ! I took your advice at Xmas and bought a few of the pottery Barn candle dupes( Stewart Plaid) that you showed from Homegoods 👍

I agree with your list! And feeling quite happy I don't own those big things. The "slicers", I got rid of our egg slicer and avocado slicer from non-use.

I’ve been pondering over the towel warmer BUT I am looking at wall mounted plug-in styles. I def don’t have the space for the diaper trash can looking thing but the wall mounted racks for $75-100 are tempting I gotta admitttttt 😂

Yep!!!! On the flip side.... what I have gathered from those saying they love their expensive coffee makers. For them, it's an experience of making their coffees in the morning. Which I totally respect. What some find to be worth the money, others not so much. Totally to each their own. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thanks for watching friend!

I agree about every product you mentioned. A total waste of money. I guess everyone has their own opinion, but I have to agree with you on all counts with this one. Thanks for the little change up on the video. Now back to what I am going to buy after I see your next video. Always think there’s not possibly anything I want til I watch your video and then there I go. Thanks friend. Lol

We bought an inexpensive ice maker when our ice maker in our Samsung refrigerator went out and it was going to take weeks to get it worked on because of the warranty. I love soft ice because I have a very dry mouth due to medication and health issues plus I cracked a tooth in regular ice. We got our Samsung ice maker fixed and it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. I am spoiled with this icemaker and now I want one that cleans itself because it is hard to clean and I worry about mold. I know you didn’t need to hear all of this but there it is. I do not plan on getting a $700 one though. As always, love your video. 😉❤😊
