I love how these weapons also glow when equipped by a Fontaine character. It’s a nice detail they added. My traveler has the sword equipped just for fashion impact.
I would've loved that polearm so much, if it had a low base attack and therefore higher HP% stat instead. Really annoying that they went with this distribution instead.
It seems that they were very concerned to not make it viable for zhongli. Not only the hp it gives is trash (worse than 3* black tassel) but the passive is trigged only when you get healed and on many teams you don't want to run zhongli alongside a healer (and even with a healer, you should not be healing much with zhongli). A complete non-go for zhongli. In the end it became bad for all characters we have rn.
@@digadeh it's a f2p weapon. They are generally not good and overpowered by gacha weapons for monetization. Even in future it won't be op, don't fool yourself expecting it to be bis/op in any way for a futute char. Look for older craftable weapons, very very rarely sometimes is really good. Most of the time some stats is good but passive isn't or vice versa. It's a gacha game...

they do explain it in description aside from in-game tutorial, however similar to character's skills (mostly complicated ones) you'll have to actually test it in-game before you can clearly understand it, well that's why we have these kind of YT guide channels for people who doesn't have the mean to test it or has little understanding of its mechanism wall of text isn't good in general, good thing they implemented a pop-up tutorial once you obtain one of these weapons
I was expecting an HP one handed sword as there are 3 characters than can make use of it (kuki shinobu (not hiperbloom), nilou and layla) and there are no 3* or 4* options. The only current HP swords are 5* nilou's weapon and maybe primordial jade cutter (for the HP passive). An HP sword would have been more valuable than a polearm...
the Rightful Reward polearm is very useful for Yaoyao tbh, I used it for my Bloom team(don't have Kokomi sadly) with Nilou, Nahida and Yelan. She gets her ult quite quickly

I really like the sword responding to the pneuma/ousia alignment of the wielder with that water drop in the middle of the hilt, it looks so cool on Lynnette! I assume all of the weapons will do that when we get pneuma ousia chars for them?
I use Tidal Shadow on Eula even if I already have Broken Pines because the aesthetics/colors matches so much better with her outfit (imo).That and Kuki exists for both the healing requirement and electro application for superconduct.
I only have Skyward Pride on my Eula. And currently I don't have any better teams for her because I wasn't satisfied of her old teams' results. I have only one way to retaking Eula's existence is Hyperbloom Eula (Shinobu, Yelan, Nahida) to catching up the METAs.
Tbf, higher base attack always means lower secondary stats. So 3* weapons will always have better substats than 4* and 5*. The only question is how big the difference will be.
I love how solar is aesthetically made for ninguang, & sacrificial jade made for baizhu 💖, & the fact their passives works so good on them Btw i have solar pearl on ninguang already, now planning to get SJ for my baizhu

@@tomyt9340 Yeah you can use it on Wanderer, his rotations aren't 30+ seconds so getting the right buff for him won't always work. This is way more consistent while still giving a lot of damage. Widsith will always give the most damage as an F2P option, but thats because it doesn't always go the players way.

I could build them but the health loss mechanic and healing is a deal breaker for me. I don't like playing around with health management systems which is why I never pulled Hu Tao even though I think she is an awesome character. I am one of those players who run to a statue of the seven every time a sliver of health is missing on my team. Anyway, good video showcasing the new weapons!
I don't know while most of those weapons do sound like that they're good alternatives for existing characters, they really do for the most part just feel like that they're good for only the Fontaine characters and nothing more. Plus there's still the issue of trying to get more of those bullits to even MAKE those and it just makes me feel like there's gonna be a hell of a lot more grinding in everyone's future if they haven't already done so already. I would say these are 5050 get them if you want to or don't because there's still some alternatives out there that you can use at least for your existing characters. I may stomach to just get the pipe if only because it's the only one I can actually get without having to grind a lot of those bullits for the other ones. That just means I have to do a whole bunch of fishing...... Why isn't this as much more fun as other RPGs with their fishing mechanics lol. Still a great review as always Sevy!
My C0 Ayaka in a team with Ganyu/Kazuha/Kokomi went from dealing 461k burst dmg using Amenoma to 517k with R5 Finale, a nice 12% increase, and she isn't from Fontaine! Also you can't really grind billets, it's just rng whether you get them or not after fighting weekly bosses.
@@lonely_dolphin8923 sumeru's tree and fontaine's fountain gives you one of each billet guaranteed with no rng so the first copy of each of these is 0 rng. and they are still good at r1.
Ive always had this question about "healing". With weapons like this and baizhus talent, do the charcters actually have to be hurt for it to count or does it still count if they get healing when they're full health?
Pretty sure it doesn't, the clam set says explicitly that it works with overhealing. And healing doesn't occur if your health is full. I guess they made it this way because 1. It has synergy with Fontaine characters 2. They would be better than they are now
@@verzetta Bond of life prevents healing entirely, it absorbs your heals as long as it's active instead of them going to your health bar. So in simple terms yes bond of life works with overhealing, because you don't get healed period when you have one since it blocks your heals until it's taken heals equal to the HP covered by it.
I know what I'm doing with my new weapons. The Fleuvre Cendre Ferryman is going to my Lynette. I don't have a spare Sac Sword, or Favonius weapon lying around... it's free. So it'll do. Finale of the Deep --> I'm thinking that for my C6 Kaeya. The way I see it, his own skill heals a bit when used, but then... Kaeya is on my "Melting Gale" team with Kazuha, Xiangling, and Benny or Babs... so healing out the remainder of that bond of life, prior to activating his Glacial Waltz will be pretty easy. The Tidal Shadow will probably go to Freminet, if/when I get him. That boy is going to need every ounce of help he can get. All my other claymore users already got their sword of choice. Honestly, this claymore seems to go, at R5, into the territory of a "Budget Wolf's Gravestone".
The Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is actually really good for emblem users, allowing you to go atk sands to balance out your stats, and its goves more than what a regular er sands goves with some nice crit rate on your skill on top of that. The first unit i thought this would be good on is ayaka. Now stay with me here, it is a quite funky build. You see i like to run my ayaka on emblem, as its as its more universal than blizzard strayer since you can really freeze bossesz and she kinda wants some er anyways ro keep her ulti up. Thiseans instead of running amenoma you can run this weapon + emblem (and we should all have emblem pieces lying around since we've been farming it for ages) and then just go an attack sands. This will lead to 49.5% ultimate damsge from emblem with just the er weapon + the 2piece of emblem, on top of that it gives a decent crit rate bonus for your skill which also does nuts damsge dont underestimate it. This makes her more flexable, less relisnt on partymembers to have fav, and can still f-up bosses pretty well. TLDR, if you are a f2p-ieh and have a sword user that has the possibility of running emblem, even if its not the meta. Use this sword, and run attack sands, you won't regret it. Great examples, are ayaka, kaeya, traveler, xiangqiu (altho u'll need a little more er subs, but that's just even more ulti damage so win/win tbh), and potentially dps kirara and Kuki (use HP sands instead).
they could have put that hp on the sword instead of the spear, putting a spear with hp lower than the Black tassel didn't make sense even more because there is no sword with hp of substances
I don't get why they don't put them in the shop same with Tighnaris weapon. It's free money for them. We never getting a Rerun of the events with the same weapon so why make them forever exclusive if some would spent on it.
Ngl, I think the BP weapons are still superior as far as 4-star options go, some of which even compete with R1 5-star weapons at max refinement. But you have to dip into Wallet-kun for those, so I guess I understand the power difference.
When I first saw them my first toughts were: New Zhongli spear, and a weapon for Dehya. The issues are: The Black Tassel is still better for Zhongli, while I don't have a Dehya. Yet. The other 3 didn't really impress me that much to be frank... They are nice alternatives to stuff i already had, but that's about it. 2 of them isn't even level 80 yet in my inventory. I ran out of gears, shoulderguards (why does the sword even need inazuma materials?) and a few other mob drops. But hey, the bow, spear and claymore are at least 80/80 already, the catalyst is level 70/80 I believe, and only the sword is stuck on low level, such as 40/40, due to me lacking shoulderguards, and being way too lazy to farm for them. Even though my Wanderer would need them a lot too, for his talent upgrades, or Yae Miko/Raiden for 1-1 upgrades here and there, but their ones would be rather expensive shoulderguardwise.
Saw someone run some testing for the new craftable sword and it looks like It might actually supplant Amenoma as Ayaka's new best F2P weapon as long as you have some decent ER sub stats.
Do we have a tough estimation of how much ER is needed on Ayaka for Finale of the Deep? Amenoma really makes ER unnecessary on Ayaka that I didn't need to care... 😂

I think you should have focused more on comparing these with the Sumeru weapons, since those are currently the only ones that use the same billet type. Most of the weapons you mentioned aren't competing for the same resource.

Still crafted Rightful Reward for Yaoyao, she was using Favonius and I prefer the extra bit of passive ER since I'm mostly using her. Wish I could drop better artifacts to replace her current Deepwood pieces, as she's barely above 36k HP with said HP Polearm.
When I saw what the new craftable sword has to offer, my Ayato started smiling. My Ayato team consists of him, Yunjin, Kokomi and Kazuha. And this sword is perfect for my team, cuz I am always switching to Kokomi and then to Ayato, because she uses thrilling tales to buff him. I am now currently sitting at r1 and... Level 20. I haven't gotten materials yet. But I will try to r5 it. Though I only have 3 more billets, and I can't craft more. And I am a lil bit lazy to farm stones.
Finale of the deep looks so good on ayato ngl, also his best f2p weap. Glad I never crafted amenoma cause the passive isn't great for him to begin with

Question about the Bond of Life; when Hydro Traveler users their skill and it leaves the little health droplets, does that count as healing to 'clear' the bond of life?
What im getting here from bound of life is, I could use it on Jean, main atk, she has quite a quick skills, selfe (and aoe) heal via Auto attack, a constant heal via burst ans most importantly, it's white and blue, jeans main color. Well what els am I gona do with thous proto weapon fragments. They are rare, but I could craft 2 r5 and already crafted all outher weapons r5 Do you world bosses guys! What els you gona do with you raising? Farm def Artefacts? They have it too!
I think Wriothesley will be able to use the proc of the Flowing Purity to trigger There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin to get Atk stack faster. Finale of the Deep works well with Lynette + 4pc Marechaussee Hunter 36% crit rate.

Yeah sapwood is his best f2p option. Until you get lucky from standard with an Aquila or Skyward. Atk percent goes wasted on Bennett. It's whatever sword has the highest base attack and you want to lvl him 90 for the highest atk buff
Ayato's F2P BiS before this update is the Kagotsurube Isshin. Seeing that Ayato scales off of ATK and HP, would you say Finale of the Deep is now Ayato's new F2P BiS? Or maybe it's only better than Kagotsurube Isshin at some refinement level?
also hamayumi is still going to be better on childe and yoimiya if you dont have the rust or the signature, as cresent is useless and the characters are not always healed. actually the new bow would probqbly do well on lyney as f2p option, since he uses hp pretty constantly.
As both a Mika and Candace enthusiast with spare polearm billets I R5’d the polearm plus it also looks really good on them especially Mika. Now I’m currently running him on 4p Exile with an ER sands and I think I prefer this setup over 4p Noblesse + Fav on him!
With Fontaine being the newest region, the French in me badly need these new weapons. My biggest concern is... I need more billets. I need more billets. ;) IYKYK
What about how reliably you can activate the weapons passives? Specifically the ones that need healing but dont have bonds of life, id hate to have to wait to be hit and potentially take near fatal damage just to start my rotation, or if i have a shielder on the team taking damage at all in the first place becomes harder
I'm actually building the fleuve cendre ferryman for Lynette. I dont have another free favonius or sacrificial R5 so this might be for the best actually. Also, I think Lynette is better in his comp than people give her credit for. People are also running Rosaria in Lyney melt comps, but they think Lynette is bad because she swirls cryo first. When Lynette swirls pyro in Lyney's monopyro comp it's great, because of VV ofcourse. But swirling cryo on an enemy is no problem because you get the same effect as with melt rosaria. It's also usefull in making Lynette more versatile for lyney, in case monopyro locks you out of abyss, Lynette can try to swirl the cryo on purpose on the enemy to give another element to deal damage with. Abyss is not always about dealing more damage. I think Lynette is made more for Lyney than people realise. Yes, kazuha is better if you just want to swirl pyro. But there are also things like, Lyney also wants atk% and sucrose gives an EM buff wich is wasted on Lyney. So in my opinion, Lynette is a better 4 star for Lyney than Sucrose is. Both for the versatility and the atk buff, even if you dont use it completely. She wont have the suction that Sucrose or Kazuha have, but she doesn't need to as much. Her ult taunts enemies, so they run to it themselves, paired with Lyneys taunt you have a pretty good way of keeping enemies in 1 spot. Especially with Lyney c1.
Let's see, the weapon gives 32 energy per 20s rotation, and it has high Base ATK (565). Still decent or at least usable for Xiangling 😏 (assuming The Catch is on another character, Raiden for example)

Can be, but the passive is tricky to activate if Bennett is the healer (he doesn't heal if the character's HP is above 70%). Personally i would go for other more consistent options.
A pity the bow's effect doesn't snapshot to fischl's Q healing. If it did, it would be as strong as Amos on her (I use EM sands to balance the excess ATK)
Hello may i ask if the bow will be good for yoimiya?? Wait is her dps window only 8 seconds?? I dont remember i only know its 3 full set of her NAs. I plan of crafting this so childe can have the rust...
Her dps window is 10 seconds and consists of 3 full NA attack strings, so with this bow her final shot in the 3rd attack string won't receive the buff. I think its better to give her Slingshot if you want Childe to have the Rust, or keep Rust on Yoimiya and give Childe the Stringless if you have it. If you haven't known, R5 Slingshot is equal to R4 Rust on Yoimiya.
The only reason bennet, white tassel, black tassel are so good is because they were released early when genshin does not have big capital now they can't nerf them as it will cause players uproar insted they do have ability to make new f2p weapons very weak as u can clearly see 5* limited ones are crazy op with some having 70-80 crit.

The new catalyst is an extremely good option as it gives you more damage that a Skyward Atlas, making it great for any ATK scaling character

I don't know while most of those weapons do sound like that they're good alternatives for existing characters, they really do for the most part just feel like that they're good for only the Fontaine characters and nothing more. Plus there's still the issue of trying to get more of those bullits to even MAKE those and it just makes me feel like there's gonna be a hell of a lot more grinding in everyone's future if they haven't already done so already. I would say these are 5050 get them if you want to or don't because there's still some alternatives out there that you can use at least for your existing characters. I may stomach to just get the pipe if only because it's the only one I can actually get without having to grind a lot of those bullits for the other ones. That just means I have to do a whole bunch of fishing...... Why isn't this as much more fun as other RPGs with their fishing mechanics lol. Still a great review as always Sevy!
My C0 Ayaka in a team with Ganyu/Kazuha/Kokomi went from dealing 461k burst dmg using Amenoma to 517k with R5 Finale, a nice 12% increase, and she isn't from Fontaine! Also you can't really grind billets, it's just rng whether you get them or not after fighting weekly bosses.

@@lonely_dolphin8923 sumeru's tree and fontaine's fountain gives you one of each billet guaranteed with no rng so the first copy of each of these is 0 rng. and they are still good at r1.
Ive always had this question about "healing". With weapons like this and baizhus talent, do the charcters actually have to be hurt for it to count or does it still count if they get healing when they're full health?

Pretty sure it doesn't, the clam set says explicitly that it works with overhealing. And healing doesn't occur if your health is full. I guess they made it this way because
1. It has synergy with Fontaine characters
2. They would be better than they are now
I saw someone testing the polearm, yes it works with overhealing. Not sure about the others with Bond of Life mechanic though.
@@verzetta Bond of life prevents healing entirely, it absorbs your heals as long as it's active instead of them going to your health bar. So in simple terms yes bond of life works with overhealing, because you don't get healed period when you have one since it blocks your heals until it's taken heals equal to the HP covered by it.

The Fleuvre Cendre Ferryman is going to my Lynette. I don't have a spare Sac Sword, or Favonius weapon lying around... it's free. So it'll do.
Finale of the Deep --> I'm thinking that for my C6 Kaeya. The way I see it, his own skill heals a bit when used, but then... Kaeya is on my "Melting Gale" team with Kazuha, Xiangling, and Benny or Babs... so healing out the remainder of that bond of life, prior to activating his Glacial Waltz will be pretty easy.
The Tidal Shadow will probably go to Freminet, if/when I get him. That boy is going to need every ounce of help he can get. All my other claymore users already got their sword of choice. Honestly, this claymore seems to go, at R5, into the territory of a "Budget Wolf's Gravestone".
The Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is actually really good for emblem users, allowing you to go atk sands to balance out your stats, and its goves more than what a regular er sands goves with some nice crit rate on your skill on top of that.
The first unit i thought this would be good on is ayaka. Now stay with me here, it is a quite funky build. You see i like to run my ayaka on emblem, as its as its more universal than blizzard strayer since you can really freeze bossesz and she kinda wants some er anyways ro keep her ulti up. Thiseans instead of running amenoma you can run this weapon + emblem (and we should all have emblem pieces lying around since we've been farming it for ages) and then just go an attack sands. This will lead to 49.5% ultimate damsge from emblem with just the er weapon + the 2piece of emblem, on top of that it gives a decent crit rate bonus for your skill which also does nuts damsge dont underestimate it. This makes her more flexable, less relisnt on partymembers to have fav, and can still f-up bosses pretty well.
TLDR, if you are a f2p-ieh and have a sword user that has the possibility of running emblem, even if its not the meta. Use this sword, and run attack sands, you won't regret it.
Great examples, are ayaka, kaeya, traveler, xiangqiu (altho u'll need a little more er subs, but that's just even more ulti damage so win/win tbh), and potentially dps kirara and Kuki (use HP sands instead).
they could have put that hp on the sword instead of the spear, putting a spear with hp lower than the Black tassel didn't make sense even more because there is no sword with hp of substances

I don't get why they don't put them in the shop same with Tighnaris weapon. It's free money for them. We never getting a Rerun of the events with the same weapon so why make them forever exclusive if some would spent on it.
Ngl, I think the BP weapons are still superior as far as 4-star options go, some of which even compete with R1 5-star weapons at max refinement. But you have to dip into Wallet-kun for those, so I guess I understand the power difference.

When I first saw them my first toughts were:
New Zhongli spear, and a weapon for Dehya. The issues are: The Black Tassel is still better for Zhongli, while I don't have a Dehya. Yet. The other 3 didn't really impress me that much to be frank... They are nice alternatives to stuff i already had, but that's about it. 2 of them isn't even level 80 yet in my inventory. I ran out of gears, shoulderguards (why does the sword even need inazuma materials?) and a few other mob drops.
But hey, the bow, spear and claymore are at least 80/80 already, the catalyst is level 70/80 I believe, and only the sword is stuck on low level, such as 40/40, due to me lacking shoulderguards, and being way too lazy to farm for them. Even though my Wanderer would need them a lot too, for his talent upgrades, or Yae Miko/Raiden for 1-1 upgrades here and there, but their ones would be rather expensive shoulderguardwise.
Most of the time I have no idea what Sevy says and I don't even plan on crafting these weapons. I just like listening to her speaking.
Saw someone run some testing for the new craftable sword and it looks like It might actually supplant Amenoma as Ayaka's new best F2P weapon as long as you have some decent ER sub stats.

I think you should have focused more on comparing these with the Sumeru weapons, since those are currently the only ones that use the same billet type. Most of the weapons you mentioned aren't competing for the same resource.

Still crafted Rightful Reward for Yaoyao, she was using Favonius and I prefer the extra bit of passive ER since I'm mostly using her. Wish I could drop better artifacts to replace her current Deepwood pieces, as she's barely above 36k HP with said HP Polearm.
Got the pipe and I need to rebuild up my healers because I don’t usually use healers much except for Benny and Diona. Baizhu too occasionally.
When I saw what the new craftable sword has to offer, my Ayato started smiling. My Ayato team consists of him, Yunjin, Kokomi and Kazuha. And this sword is perfect for my team, cuz I am always switching to Kokomi and then to Ayato, because she uses thrilling tales to buff him. I am now currently sitting at r1 and... Level 20. I haven't gotten materials yet. But I will try to r5 it. Though I only have 3 more billets, and I can't craft more. And I am a lil bit lazy to farm stones.
Finale of the deep looks so good on ayato ngl, also his best f2p weap. Glad I never crafted amenoma cause the passive isn't great for him to begin with

I could use it on Jean, main atk, she has quite a quick skills, selfe (and aoe) heal via Auto attack, a constant heal via burst ans most importantly, it's white and blue, jeans main color.

great explanation, the bond of life mechanic makes all of this weapons really shit in comparisson with any other weapon that does the same though.

Naw Sapwood is better on Bennett for the ER. Bennett's buff uses base Atk only so the Atk buffs from Finale are useless for that.
Yeah sapwood is his best f2p option. Until you get lucky from standard with an Aquila or Skyward. Atk percent goes wasted on Bennett. It's whatever sword has the highest base attack and you want to lvl him 90 for the highest atk buff

also hamayumi is still going to be better on childe and yoimiya if you dont have the rust or the signature, as cresent is useless and the characters are not always healed.

Now I’m currently running him on 4p Exile with an ER sands and I think I prefer this setup over 4p Noblesse + Fav on him!

What about how reliably you can activate the weapons passives? Specifically the ones that need healing but dont have bonds of life, id hate to have to wait to be hit and potentially take near fatal damage just to start my rotation, or if i have a shielder on the team taking damage at all in the first place becomes harder

I'm actually building the fleuve cendre ferryman for Lynette. I dont have another free favonius or sacrificial R5 so this might be for the best actually. Also, I think Lynette is better in his comp than people give her credit for.
People are also running Rosaria in Lyney melt comps, but they think Lynette is bad because she swirls cryo first.
When Lynette swirls pyro in Lyney's monopyro comp it's great, because of VV ofcourse. But swirling cryo on an enemy is no problem because you get the same effect as with melt rosaria. It's also usefull in making Lynette more versatile for lyney, in case monopyro locks you out of abyss, Lynette can try to swirl the cryo on purpose on the enemy to give another element to deal damage with. Abyss is not always about dealing more damage. I think Lynette is made more for Lyney than people realise. Yes, kazuha is better if you just want to swirl pyro. But there are also things like, Lyney also wants atk% and sucrose gives an EM buff wich is wasted on Lyney. So in my opinion, Lynette is a better 4 star for Lyney than Sucrose is. Both for the versatility and the atk buff, even if you dont use it completely.
She wont have the suction that Sucrose or Kazuha have, but she doesn't need to as much. Her ult taunts enemies, so they run to it themselves, paired with Lyneys taunt you have a pretty good way of keeping enemies in 1 spot. Especially with Lyney c1.

Let's see, the weapon gives 32 energy per 20s rotation, and it has high Base ATK (565). Still decent or at least usable for Xiangling 😏

Can be, but the passive is tricky to activate if Bennett is the healer (he doesn't heal if the character's HP is above 70%). Personally i would go for other more consistent options.

A pity the bow's effect doesn't snapshot to fischl's Q healing. If it did, it would be as strong as Amos on her (I use EM sands to balance the excess ATK)

Hello may i ask if the bow will be good for yoimiya?? Wait is her dps window only 8 seconds?? I dont remember i only know its 3 full set of her NAs. I plan of crafting this so childe can have the rust...
Her dps window is 10 seconds and consists of 3 full NA attack strings, so with this bow her final shot in the 3rd attack string won't receive the buff. I think its better to give her Slingshot if you want Childe to have the Rust, or keep Rust on Yoimiya and give Childe the Stringless if you have it. If you haven't known, R5 Slingshot is equal to R4 Rust on Yoimiya.

The only reason bennet, white tassel, black tassel are so good is because they were released early when genshin does not have big capital now they can't nerf them as it will cause players uproar insted they do have ability to make new f2p weapons very weak as u can clearly see 5* limited ones are crazy op with some having 70-80 crit.
