@@TheCruisingKiwis just awesome.. before i came to Oz I had an Ozzie mate over and we were south of the BOI on the old Russel rd, we had picked up a couple (english) but they decided to keep to the main road, anyway the first beach we came to there must have been 50-60 dolphins playing in the surf.... we watched then for ages eh
Thanks Tammy! We are trying to grow our channel and the advice we've had is to make them shorter. Many of our friends tell us frankly they are too long too. Got to strike a balance. Having said that it's nice you're wanting more!
When I was in the army Pay Office we could unlock a padlock with the arms of a file clip to hold the pages down. Luckily it was only a worn out padlock and not the lock to the safe with money in - although if we wanted to, maybe a hand grenade would have done that trick. Explosives were readily accessible but no amount of cash was worth imprisonment for. We were having WAY too much fun!
@@TheCruisingKiwis It is true that you can open a padlock without the key, because I did it! In the padlocks defence however, it was not new and had been manufactured in pre Zimbabwe, Rhodesia so maybe quality control was non existent.

Funny how the world works......a few days ago there was a neat little pickup in front of my son and I. He said “That’s a cool truck!” I told him I liked the license plate best, and had him look it up, as he didn’t know what it meant. The words on the plate? Carpe Diem.
It's a great saying. A boat in the inaugural rowing race across the Atlantic that Rob rowed in was called just that. It was crewed by a mother and her son. Seizing the day.

On a serious note if you know where the phone tower is hold a frypan (or wok) up with the inside part facing the tower and the phone between the frypan and the tower, the frypan will act as a reflector, not a very good reflector but still it might give you an extra bar of signal and it won't cost anything as it's simply using what you already have on board.
@@TheCruisingKiwis Hardest part is going to be finding the focal point of your frypan, it's not usually included in the documentation that comes with the frypan 🤣it should be about the middle of the pan and 20-70 cm in front, it'll take some experimentation, and if you can't get it to work you didn't loose anything.

That's a difficult one to answer succinctly. So many variables. They say 10 to 20 percent of purchase cost off yacht a year on maintenance is pretty accurate. Day to day costs the same food etc though less on transport!

I's always the small things like the key that can make a moment so uncomfortable, but then at the same time you find that people are will to support and help. I can only imagine the sinking feeling on seeing that padlock on the dinghy, knowing that you'd sent the key back to Javelot with Ivan. As Ivan so succinctly put it. "Seriously?" Like the "Nek Minnit" thrown in there. I see it has thrown some of your non kiwi followers.
Well I take it Rob would have got a lift back in NZ. Awesome comparison between Australia and NewZealand. Mind you Rob did look very Bogan!🤣🤣Actually that’s generally the way white middle aged Australian males are treated in OZ.
I got setup on a date with this guy ... .. he showed up 20-30 late and told me some big long story about losing his keys. At the end he asked me to go on another date “to make up for being late” which was kinda cute. He planned some big fancy elaborate date ... I’m waiting at the spot getting texts and phone calls about his keys missing and coordinating with his roommate to get into his home and he shows up 30 minutes late. At the end of the date he asked to go on another date and I tell him, “I’ve never lost my keys and it really stresses me out being around someone who is always losing an important thing like keys. So I don’t think this is going anywhere.” NEK MINNIT He became a very famous guy, who probably doesn’t need keys to anything because he pays people to make sure everything is opened for him. But I did run into him later and he told me that what I had said really effected him ... he decided to never lose his keys again, that realizing that a little key is very important shifted his perspective and helped him shift his life and career.

It has a separate steel cable with rope around it for chafing. Easier to cut the lock.
How has Ivan coped with diving since the indecent where he couldn't inflate his BCD and went into panic? Has he been able to overcome that experience?
Yes he has been fine. In upcoming episodes we do some incredible dives in the barrier reef and he loved it.
