Making and Canning Lilac Jelly!

Here at Rod Ridge Farm, we are really getting into making the floral jellies. In this video, we make Lilac pretty. My grandma had lilac bushes, so thatvis where we harvested them from. It took four cups of lilac flowers to steep for the tea. The color change of the tea when adding the lemon juice was very pretty. Once the jelly was waterbath canned, it was a very pale yellow in color. It tasted good! #homesteading #selfsufficient #canningandpreserving #floraljelly #lilacs

Made lilac jelly for the first time. It is lovely. I added a few purple pansey flowers to the tea and the colour turned out soo pretty.
