Brilliant!! They’re such a great thing to have in your training! Even just for warm ups! Love weighted ones too! Hits angles that squats and lunges can’t get! 😄😄
I've been doing cossack squats for a while at gym, but never really focused on it. Now I do it more, focusing on lower mobility. Wonderful video! Good explanation. Subscribed.
You may find issues with deeper ranges so I would keep with the holding on variation and see how things feel based on the day after each time, if ok then ok to continue, if you feel any closing angle joint pain then I would regress the range a bit and just work stability within that range
Tried doing this for my hip impingement, but i cant do a wide stance, not able to widen my legs to the side, can i do this with not a wide stance ? Cant go low too then
You may find them more uncomfortable at the start so be sure to change your foot position to suit you, as with anything test it out and see how you feel based on the day after!
What does it mean is my left foot doesn't go flat? I can only manage on the ball of my feet before loose balance. but my right side is fine I can get deep with flat foot.
Could potentially be limited range with your ankle, have you ever injured it in the past? This would be good to add ruclips.net/video/AL185jT9niY/видео.html
@@TomMorrison No, not since High School, just a small sprain. That's ages ago. Actually, I just did the wall to knew lunge test and found out left ankle imbalance for flexibility.
Your channel has quickly become one of my favourites. I really enjoy the content. It's really helping. Thanks.
So happy to hear this! Thankyou! 🙏
Great explanation! I've been practicing cossack squats more often lately, adding weight.

For me its the other way around.
Good sheet 👍👍
good solution!
Lol at the subtitles at the end: "... and you'll look like an Indian".
Lol, can’t handle the accent 😂😂

Richard Sherman very welcome! Thanks for leaving a comment! 😄
Pretty good but my problem is keeping a straight spine, not rounding. Any suggestions? Thanks
Keep working on your hip flexibility! ruclips.net/video/v7VMYyET9Zs/видео.htmlsi=q5hXZ3CapbHP-DPQ
I can easily do pistol squat but these cossack kinda hard for me @@
The hip angle is slightly different 😄 definitely worth working on a little for a while 💪🏼
Turning out the foot of the bent leg out isn't great, encourages the knee to track inward. Better to keep the toes pointing straight ahead.
Being attached to perfect tracking isn’t great either, treat this more like an unloaded stretch, wiggling is fine
Hi Tom, I have metal implants in both of my hips and wondered if this exercise would do some damage?

Does it reduce thigh fat
No, more of a diet and cardio thing for any reduction of fat 😊

Would look into our hip CARs video and start there instead!
Yea i did this excercise too, i Just startet today. Maybe i should only do hip cars for a few weeks ?
Would these be harmful for people with retroverted or anteverted hips?
