What I *do* know from a technical level, is that the Terminally Online folx are fucking dense. You know the ones. They'll subtweet the trash person while tagging RUclips's official Twitter page with versions of "Umm... RUclips??? Hello???" instead of _actually_ flagging the post/video/what have you, and blocking the page/channel/person entirely.
That's really the big reason why RUclips doesn't "do anything", because people are too busy navel-gazing and opining about how RUclips or Twitter "won't do anything about these terrible people" but can't be bothered with taking the time to flag/report the trash human because it's "too much work".

Thank you for this video, Kim! As a long-term viewer, I always appreciate your commentary. I'm not a black woman, but I really relate to this as a Turkish woman (from Turkey, studying in Europe, not been to the US) because young Turkish men constantly shit on Turkish women, specifically our appearances and life choices. It's not just general sexism either, they will literally say 'Turkish women suck' even though they have probably never even met a non-Turkish woman, let alone date one. I feel that sexism within our own communities is often the most salient issue for us, as we are stuck with these people (unless you study abroad like me, I guess)... (I understand that this might be different for black women who face racism that I don't regularly face as a pale Turkish person, even in Europe.)

@Mel C Thank you for remembering and your kind words. Unfortunately, rampant femicide is still the case. I think an average of about 1.5 women are killed every day. Mostly by men they know, almost always current or former partners. If you ask them, the government has taken some precautions (like creating an emergency app that calls the cops and shares your location with them in case you are being abducted). But, in reality, they pulled out of the Istanbul Agreement, which was a legal guarantee of many women's rights. Feminist groups were campaigning for the Agreement to be applied fully, and instead they pulled out. It is a complete joke. I hope for a more feminist government soon.

We are sick of this ish. I don’t accept his apology. I personally have been discriminated against for being a black woman by black men in power positions over me. Professionalism meant nothing to these men in their quest to punish me for some unknown crime, and put me in my proverbial place, even upon initial meetings. I’ve even had a black male mechanic permanently break my 3 year old car to put me in my “financial place”, while I was trying to buy black and support a black business. I’ve had a black male PI and black male civil rights attorneys turn down my case because they didn’t want to fight on my behalf, yet I’ve marched and fought for their black bodies. I’ve had black men enter buildings before me and attempt to slam the doors in my face to make it clear that I was unworthy of them holding the door or elevator for me, and it has gotten really bad out here for black women in California. We have to watch our backs with people of other colors, races, and nationalities, and now for the first time in history, we have to look over our shoulders at our own men. It really sucks, and it’s exhausting to have no safe haven even in your own community, and family. They hate us…

It's same thing I thought too; if you're responding to or fighting with someone ,then we can look at it that you were fighting dirty even if it's not right but his tweets were completely unprovoked. And now he's conveniently with an Asian woman and claiming he's been cured of his hate cos he fried an egg or two? *scoffs* sure he's change 🙄🙄 the way that obumseli dude "was just young" when he made those nasty comments and ended up with a WW who ended him.

Kim Ogg is a Democrat who is up for reelection in 2024. Black women have been the most dependable voting bloc for the Democrats. Now, their numbers in Harris County might not be large enough to put a preferred candidate into office; however, their numbers probably are large enough that WITHHOLDING their vote could prevent Kim Ogg from getting back into office. So Black women could very well hold the key to whether Kim Ogg is re-elected or not; she needs to understand that.

The thing is, this man isn’t just colorist, he’s straight up racist against black women. Angela Simmons is, as far as I’ve heard, considered light skinned, but even the fact that she’s black made her worthy of denigration to him. Also interesting to me that no matter what non-black woman he eventually has children with, they will be biracially black. If he has a daughter I shudder to think of the self-hate he will impose on her, and that’s at the very least, if he hasn’t genuinely unlearned all of this by that point.

Waymond should think about why-with the revelation to his employer of these obviously disqualifying, hateful and biased commentaries- was he not immediately let go from his position? Perhaps because he is the useful idiot in this case? Do his words represent a position that is in alignment with the true thoughts and beliefs of his employer and he and his skin and outspoken self hate are being USED to continue to erode the black community? The layers to this tragedy are Devastating.

I also truly believe in second chances and forgiving people. However l also don't think forgiveness comes from thin air. Actions have consequences. There have to be consequences for his actions. He can't just go on working in an environment throwing the book at people we KNOW he had prejudices against. That compromises the system. He needs to face consequences and actually do PUBLIC work that proves that he has changed. He has to do the WORK. Not sit there, whine and say I've changed. Sir you're a public servant. Prove it to the Public not to your work buddies in the office.

I was gaslit by personal friends and family when I said that at the very beginning of my engagement with social media I was being bombarded with misogynoir and the space I saw it most at the time was the natural hair movement... in the comment section of black women content by black men.
