I’ve set up enough events and wedding to tell you the ways of how things were with wedding are not the same. Do the destinations weddings and forget those who can not come THEY WILL BE OKAY AND CAME COME TO THE POST WEDDING PARTY.. Make a party at home showing pictures of what the people who didn’t come missed and give them some drinks and they will never have missed a thing. People do not talk about how wedding are theatrical performances and not about people being there to love and support you. It’s not worth the costs.
My destination wedding in 2011 was $1500 tops. I didn't care who made it or not...lol! And that price included the wedding and reception, and transportation to and from the resort for everyone. There is a way to do it without going crazy!
Unfortunately, many people spend more time, money and effort planning the wedding (and reception) than they do working on the actual marriage itself.
Nothing like starting a marriage with a massively expensive wedding put on your credit card.
