- KOTEGAESHI is one of the basic aikido throwing techniques (nage waza), where the attacker’s wrist is twisted. Here it is used against some strikes and grabs, sometimes slow for clarity and sometimes not.

Nikyo is coming soon :)
It helps when the other guy cooperates.
Actually not. That tends to make things more complicated.
I don't think this would work in a street fight where the opponent is actively resisting our effort to twist his arm and throw him around.
Yeah I would hope ppl get that but they don't see how soft and orchestrated this is just because he slowed it down and made it look exotic
@@iatsd Yeah, atemi solves all the problems, I tried with some judo guys and found that it works.
Дякую!

Akido is not work against resistance, It's the opposite. That's mostly why who never done Akido does not understands it.
Once you master the flow of energy in the same direction as the momentum of the opponent you get 2 times the force generated to slam the opponent in submission while being fluid throughout. Then you can decide to break or peaceout. That's why Aikido I say is Majectic giving a chance.
The reason they practice in slow manner as over years the same set of movements (any martial Arts) is to develop into 2nd nature like you learn a language. You can not in the beginning practice any martial Arts fast. A baby learning to walk for example.
Any martial art or non will work on the street or inside the ring. It all depends on who is applying it.
But everyone's a Judge.
Is that why we see
So many of these aikido masters kicking arse in the UFC ? Down to their 2 nd nature technique and flow?
The truth sadly is, you can practice as long and as slow as you like to perfect the technique, and you will end up being brilliant at performing those techniques, with said ‘2 nd nature’ slow and relaxed!
But the minute the ‘master’ is faced with speed and that horrible aggression, the old fight flight or freeze kicks in, and I’ll put everything on 99 percent will freeze and get a pasting
QUE ESTA PASANDO CON EL AIKIDO DE MOREHEI !!!!!!! SUAVIDAD Y BAJO IMPACTO ? AHHHH , OLVIDABA ALGO.....Y UKE SÚPER MUÑECO?
all show no go
Where to go for no show?
👍👍👍
Try that in the octagon🤣🤣🤣not going to go so well without a aikido dance partner
@gfirebunny, aikido is not intended for the octagon. Also, kotegaeshi and other aikido wrist locks would be difficult because of the gloves worn in MMA, which cover the wrists. Such techniques may not even be allowed since grabbing gloves is against the MMA rules.
The octagon is far closer to the reality of self defense than some guy helping someone moves on them. You never see any aikido subject put up any resistance whatsoever. Bottom line, it's only a small part of being a well rounded martial artist and could get you into a lot of trouble in a self defense scenario without using harder styles.
@@gfirebunny it is clear that you have no substantial experience of martial arts. Like so many trolls here, you've just watched a bunch of videos. That's not enough. As for the octagon, it's an arrangement for competition, not for self defense training. The primary rule of self defense, as any expert of it will tell you, is to simply run away. The octagon doesn't allow for that. Furthermore, fights in the octagon have rules. Self defense has not. That said, of course MMA is easily applied to self defense, as are all martial arts. But none is the only way. You should pratice before forming your opinion. Otherwise, your opinion can't be taken seriously.
Да.Зато получится айкидзюцу...и травмы...
Forget the octagon...Try it with a 17 year old Golden Gloves boxer.😂
а кто учитель мастера? Какие-то для айкикая странные формы котегаеши.
I've had several teachers, but I can't blame them for what I do 🙂
Through the years, I've made some modifications of my own.
Don’t try that on an actual aggressor, he doesn’t know the dance steps and might just slap you down at real speed
Have you experienced a kotegaeshi?
