You could try to do a no skip easy+normal+expert (maybe super expert too) 100 Mario challenge where you keep the lives from the previous run. So if you ended the easy run with 85 lives left youd have to lose those lives at the start of the normal run and continue from there. Always love your vids :)

my guess is he would still have about 90-95 going into the super expert since the normal and easy difficulties r so easy for him. he made a video or two doing those difficulties and they werent ever a sweat for him
So there is a few different ways to change things up I've thought of..
*A super Expert run* but you're only allowed to collect 10 coins per level
*A super Expert run* but you cannot attempt the same level more than once
*An Expert run* but you CANNOT have Fruit Loops in the 24 hours before you start.
*A Normal run* but Thursdays are completely off limits
*A super Expert run* but on Normal
*An Expert run* where people think you're actually playing the French version of Pokemon Stadium 2
*An Easy run* but you complete a self acupuncture course in German.
Just a few to be getting on with..

People who say "how about when you die you so-and-so" aren't thinking about the fact that at best Ryu would finish a 100-man with 80 lives, which means doing something 20 times BEST CASE scenario. So taking a shot, hot food, skipping level, or most of the ideas just wouldn't be practical bc either a) he'd literally die or b) the video would go on forever

StevieSMM a lot of the low clear rate levels i’ve seen ryu do kinda irritate me (and him lol) with cheap tactics and lazy design. but this one was awesome!
only sucks that people are exposed to it via a 100 life challenge instead of like a Kaizo run where u can take it at your own pace. when people have limited lives, the difficulty can be seen more as frustrating than rewarding/enjoyable. anyways great level, hope you’re still making more, and maybe look into doing your own kaizo/dram/poobear hacks

For Episode 30 you could do a 100 MARIO run but through all difficulties. Easy, Normal, Expert, SE. but what ever lives you lose early on you lose when you move up. Say you end Normal with 95 lives you would start Expert with 95. And if you end Expert with 50 lives you only start Super Expert with 50 lives.
Since you skipped life 30, you should also skip episode 30 and go straight to 31

For the 30th episode: play three games of expert (not super expert) in a row. Once you complete the first one, “carry over” your lives left over from that run and start the second. Do the same with the third run and see if you don’t get a game over. I call it “Super Long Expert”

My favorite part about levels with a difficult beginning is seeing the hundreds of X's layer the entire surface of the starting area.
do it holding the controller the wrong way so your dpads in the other hand.. and behind your back...blindfolded.. on one leg.. after drinking a whole thing of exlax lol (really dont do that last part)

I have an idea for the 30th episode:
You and someone else both do a no skip run at the same time and try to see who beats their run first (or who makes it further if one of you loses all your lives). Granted the length and difficulty of the levels you'll get will vary, but that's part of the fun.
no way, 100-man levels vary so wildly this wouldn't even be close to fair
DannyB Plays Yeah, I know. The point is that it would essentially be based on luck. I think it would be funny to see one of them breeze through a fairly easy level while the other is frustrated on a super hard kaizo level. The competition itself would be mostly meaningless as the fun would come from the interactions between Ryu and whoever he plays against as they receive vastly different runs.

"Dizzy Dreamland" was one of the most brutal of the well themed Super Mario Maker levels I've seen so far. I've seen a lot of them so that's a much bigger statement than it seems.
That last level suffered from severe lack of checkpoints.
Hey ryu !love your episodes,unfortunate for the last run. Well for the big 30 have an idea , Do one level from each of the countrt, one from mexico, one usa , one japanese, one french, one canadian , so to include everyone as you do include everyone :)
SD Ninja I don’t think that can work as there are hundreds of tiny countries that you probably hadn’t even heard of so the video would be like a hundred runs and 95%skipping so a better idea would be to maybe have 1 country from each continent for a level because there are much less continents
For episode 30 you can make all 4 levels categories with only 100 mario, so if you end difficult mode with 67 mario you will die 33 times in super expert and you will keep going with the challenge! This is pretty cool.

For the episode 30, you should prepare a variety of 6 brands of cheeses, and you get to eat one of the cheeses every time you finish a level by cheesing some part of it. The more tasty the cheese was in the level, the more expensive brand u are allowed to eat. If u don't find any cheese after completing a level, u have to select one of the cheeses and discard it without eating it.

OK, I have a good idea (I think)! Grab 6 random super-expert levels. That is, write down their codes. Then instead of playing them in super expert, play them regularly, but keep a "lives counter" so the audience knows how much lives are left. However, place bowser at the start of each level! So you will get to see the start of the level (since you'll have to download it), but you'll be set back because there will be a bowser there to screw things up. So it's Super Mario No-Skip, Bowser Edition.
Do a Super Expert, Expert, and Normal run combined with 100 lives, and alternate between difficulties after each course. Normal levels can sometimes screw with your head after playing insanely difficult levels and make you overthink things that should be simple. Maybe someone could queue it up for you so you're not sure which difficulty setting you're playing and you're blind to how many lives you have left.

Try to get a net of 100 lives at the end of the run, meaning that since you can get 3 lives per stage that you have the ability to use at most 18 lives, if you get those lives back each level. its probably impossible but id like to see you try!!

I think if you grabbed a Buzzy Beetle shell, go through the door, then come back, you can throw the shell and it will grab the feather. I'm very sure if that's how that works, but it grabs coins so maybe?

I like the idea of a Super Expert no skip SAGA. Start the hundred man and play through all the levels until you save Peach. Then start a new Super expert with the number of men you had left from previous run...etc. etc. I read this idea in a previous thread but have no idea who suggested it so cant take any credit.

Play super expert but every time you die you have to eat a pepper and go up on the spicy intensity scale.
Edit: stacking sideways springs always seems to have the small chance of spawning next to eachother if you're fast enough (sometimes it is fast enough just by exiting a door), because of the way the game loads items in. It hasn't been patched out but any level that requires this to be beaten is taken down by Nintendo.
do no skip super expert, but every time you take a hit, like losing a power up, you have to restart the level. (forced losses don't count)

Lol I think you should put your *Master Cheese Finding Abilities* to the test! Try to do a 100man Super Expert run where: if you don't find some piece of cheese in the level, it doesn't count.
Whatever the rules, I think a "Forced Cheese Challenge" would be so damn interesting to watch and both fun for you and us!
I mean that's pretty much what you always do anyway. Lol So maybe put a 5 or 10 life minimum/maximum towards searching for the exploits, and if you can't find one, you have to skip the level. *Speedruns are automatically skipped!*
. Hell, so I know you don't need me to explain to you what all counts as finding cheese. In my opinion. I think the scale runs from keeping an unintended power up all the way up to the discovery of a level breaking exploit.
Idea for episode 30. Win 30 super expert levels without skipping, and you can only use 100 lives (not including 1 ups). For example if you beat the first super expert with 65 lives then you start your second super expert with 65 lives until you either loose or beat the 30 levels
I have a new challenge: Super Expert but with ten lives. You can still skip levels, but you start with ten on level one. It'd be tedious to start it, but it'd be neat. Somebody, if not Ryukahr, should try it.

Super expert but skip until you get a level ( So no hot garbage ) Or the other way around, skip until you get a garbage level. You could also do a ryu run: you may only finish a level by cheesing or cheesed at least a part of that level. (Skip if you can't find cheese)

ryu, how does one make a mario hack? I don't want to use software. I would like to just modify the code. Is that possible? That way I can write any additions I want, rather than only able to tweak what already exists. I tried to find the source code but no luck so far.
For the 30th episode you should have a hat with all the best suggestions and at the beginning of the stage you pick a suggestion and play the level like that ... also can have a few skip this level options
