  • Meditation is like exploring. It’s not a fixed destination. Your head doesn’t become "free of thoughts" or utterly undistracted. It’s a special place where each and every moment is special. When you meditate, you venture into the workings of your mind: your sensations (air blowing on your skin or a smell wafting into the room), your emotions (love this, hate that, crave this, loathe that) and your thoughts (wouldn’t it be weird to see a dog playing the trumpet).
    Mindfulness meditation asks you to suspend judgment and unleash your natural curiosity about the workings of your mind, approaching your experience with warmth and kindness to yourself and others.
    Mindfulness is the basic human ability you naturally possess to be fully present, aware of who you are and what you're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around you.
    While we all are capable of mindfulness, it’s more readily available to us when we practice daily.
    Use this video to bring awareness to what you’re directly experiencing via your senses or your state of mind and your thoughts and emotions. This is you being mindful.
