I keep getting file not found but when it boots it shows the files? Are the files supposed to be on root or within data? Maybe I'm having an issue with the sd card staying mounted?
Weird question: could you plug N boards to your programmer and have them all flashed at the same time (sharing the same lines)? I understand it would be harder to check the firmware but would the flashing work? Alternatively Plug N boards and have them flashed in sequence? Rather than building N programmers
Very Unique programmer 😍😍 I am facing some weird issues with this Chip. I am able to upload the WLED bin file But when I power this up, its hanging every other minutes. Using the AMS1117 Regulator, Have tried hell lot of capacitor combinations, Nothing helps. If I use a dev. Board it works seamlessly using same binary and thru same power supply. Any pointers?
@@Kevindarrah The difference in that project is it flashes over ICSP rather than UART. Great for loading bootloaders, setting fuses and such but not all boards have the ICSP broken out.
You should try and make a gang program feature on a daughter board. Use some bidirectional switches on each port and use a multiplexer to select them. In your main ESP you can loop through all multiplexer states and program multiple devices with one device. I can even help out if you want.
ESP Programmer Board is available here! www.tindie.com/products/26244/

Will you be making anymore videos? I hope so but looks like probably not.
Excellent project, thanks for sharing!
Hi Kevin, where u at man? What happened to you? Is everything OK? How come no vids in so long a time?
He may rest in peace
Just kidding, probably busy doing some business I am sure he is fine
Nice board. I would have added the option for a small display rather than the three LEDs to indicate progress and fault codes.
Great work. Thanks for sharing
Brilliant, great job, it's a pain to have to muck about with a PC ,
Years later - still great info
Hi, thank you for this project. I'd like to have a go at this, would you mind providing the gerber files?
Looks great !...cheers.
Haven't seen a new video in a year 🙁

Good job
Very very neat! Can it program a regular Arduino?
Amazing contribution
I think it can, but actually already made something for that a while back: www.kevindarrah.com/wiki/index.php?title=AVR_Programmer
@@Kevindarrah thank you! This is great!!

Nice one
nice one!!!
magnificnt
One of the guys who you designed a board for is doing life in prison for murder
This is really neat. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and journey.
Lovely work. 👍😀
can i use this toprogramme esp8266?, as per the original esp flasher library esp8266 is also included.
Would be cool to add a small display and some arrow keys to allow selecting a specific firmware from the SD card.
yep, could easily do that with the expansion pins!
More blinky lights, less power savings!
thanks for sharing this stuff with the world. very cool
Wow!
Would this work with other Macy's, for example STM or Arduino based MCus?
Can you suggest an esp8266 programmer board?
Very cool!
wow, this is really cool. Well done.
Awesome!!!
Genius

Yes! That would be super cool! Next batch of boards I'm totally going to build this.
Wow! Very nice piece of gear. Can I buy it? Too lazy to build it.
yes, link in the description - up on the Tindie Store!
Where is the RTS pin on the programmer interface?
If you need RTS as well, you can use any of the spare pins broken out. Contact me if you need some advice here
@@Kevindarrah Yeah, i noticed your trigboard has special flasher interface where the boot loader is coupled to DTR.
This is very handy! My son, Spraynard, is allergic to gluten and can't use breadboards
took me a sec on that one :)
@@Kevindarrah yes, please pray4spray
Sir please update your RGB led cube code
Could this make julienne fries? I think it would be _rad_ if this board could fetch the files from a webserver!
yea, I was thinking about that. Got that ESP32 sitting there, so wouldn't be too hard
