Ran my first marathon this Sunday! Turned out great and I used the Salomon Sense Hydro Gloves. Got some curious glimpse from other runners. Those gloves proved their usefulness for me, quite comfortable to fill the softflasks up with some cooled water from aid station to aid station.
Kudos to Salomon for making a completely new, niche type of product. I don't see myself using it, but I like the review anyway. Thanks for letting me know about this, I didn't know that such gloves exist. SUCKER !
Nice review. I'm ok with niche distance-specific products (thinking hot training runs and races here). What do you use for 10K / HM / 30K hydration when it's 80-90 F?
Been looking at these for a few weeks but the price is so steep. I also wonder how long those collapsible bottles will last before they need replacing. Don't suppose they'll wash well. Agree that they look perfect for a half marathon distance.
Love you`re reviews! I`m very curious what you`re conclusions of the Kinvara 4 will be! They are maybe going to be my next running shoe (now running on the Guide 5). Cheers from the Netherlands!
Solomon is solid, but right now I'm running with the Nathan trail belt. I went with the Nathan because the bottles are just bi enough for my runs of 6-10 miles and the zip pouch is just big enough for my iPhone 5 and a few gels or stinger waffles. Also, I run exclusively trails that sometimes lead through underbrush and the belt system stays out of the way.
Hi! I'm using a Camelbak, but I don't know... I just don't seem to find the right way to make it not bouncing while I'm running... So I'm looking for an alternative and this one just seems great! Thanks!
Hi, i'm about to run my first marathon. Got six weeks to go. I bought the soft flask not the gloves, because I want to have my own gel. I am not sure yet what to put in it. I am thinking of Rice syrup, oats, Ume boshi and Some seaweed. This all starched with kuzu. Maybe maltodextrine and a bit of Himalaya salt. I was checkling your video because I want to know how to suck it. But probably I have to find Out myself. I Will post my experience. I like to hear suggestions on how to transport and drink your gel ..thanks
I love the idea of this product. Great review. I use the Ultimate Direction Fastdraw 10 Hand-Held Bottle, but i'm only doing half marathon distance at the moment So has the same issues.

Pros of Ethan's videos: fun, interesting, informative, impartial.
Cons: Make me want to buy more stuff.

Nice review as always. Btw, have you tried the saucony virratas? are you planning on reviewing them?
I have been using a FuelBelt on my long runs and so far has worked out well. I feel that when I push past 25 miles a CamelBak will be in my future

What about reviewing the waist belt from Salomon? It seems to work well for many people...Elite ultra-runners are using it these days...
Dear GingerRunner,
Can I use the 500ml comfortably with the M size sense hydro?
Thanks! :)

A small pocket on the back would be a nice addition, just enough for a gel or small snack
