Engage: The Foundation of a Hand Hygiene Program

This video describes infrastructure needed to engage healthcare personnel as the foundation of a successful hand hygiene program. Common elements include accessible and functional supplies for hand cleaning, healthcare personnel awareness of when to clean their hands, developing aspirational goals for the program, and healthcare personnel accountability. This video provides key questions to address when implementing a continuous quality improvement program for hand hygiene.
