When you apply the transform if you select the top-right corner as the reference point you should get the rotation exactly as you need without having to guess the offset horizontal/vertical. You use the little box icon next to the number of copies to change it from centre reference (default) to top left. Then set the rotation to 90 degrees. Those entry fields can also be used as calculators so if you have 4 copies and need to rotate them exactly you can type into the Angle box 360/4 and illustrator will do the math for you. Very handy on odd numbers of copies. All illustrator entry boxes work this way - they are all calculators and work in any value, even mixed. For example you can calculate 5mm + 3px by typing that into a field such as length/width or X/Y

Yes I forgot to select the boxes down there how to rotate but didn't knew about the 360/4 trick thank you so much! If you see other better ways of working in the software in my vids please comment, I'm also learning thank you!

Thank you for your comment. I struggled to make it but I couldn't before reading your comment. It was much easy with the use top-right corner little box icon next to the number of copies.
We need to know this tricks as many times when we try to work on tutorials we give up as we can not achieve the same geometry design.

@@elistyle82 You need to know the other way around also, not just the short way how to copy paste some advanced design. Because let's be honest you never become a pro if you only copy paste something and being in the comfort zone, your problem solving skills gonna be on zero, and graphic designers got to be problem solvers at the end of the day.
