      @@maximo5737 Great question! You don't need a specific certification to teach online. It would be wise to get a primary Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification from an NCCA accredited company. My two favorites are American Council on Exercise (www.acefitness.org) or NASM National Academy of Sports Medicine (www.nasm.org). Also getting liability insurance that covers you online. Thank you for such a helpful content. Loving your channel in general. In this topic of interview, do you think is OK to ask about remuneration? I'm always uncomfortable to ask about that and give the wrong impression to the manager, but I think is a important information to know how the gym value their employees. What do you think?

    • @StaciAlden
      @StaciAlden  4 года назад

      Hi Rafaela! Thank you for the great feedback and question. I definitely think it is okay and important to ask about remuneration/compensation! A great way to phrase it is “May I ask how your pay scale is determined?” And if they need to see you audition before giving you an exact number, feel free to ask what the lowest they pay an instructor is and how they determine if an instructor deserves an increase and how often that happens. I appreciate the way the question is phrased rather than “How much will I get paid?” - so many factors go into that for me as an instructor works with the team and shows their hard work consistency and dedication. I hope this helps!

    Hi Staci thank you so much for sharing with all of us🙏❤️... I am not yet a qualified fitness instructor, but currently busy studying towards becoming one. • @StaciAlden
      @StaciAlden  2 года назад

      Hello! I'm so happy you enjoyed this video. In most cases you will be asked to provide your own music as an instructor, there are a lot of places you can get music beyond spotify and apple music. There are companies like YES!music and Muscle Music and FitRadio that provide music at a very low cost and are unlicensed meaning they aren't the original artist which can be something a gym requests. I hope this helps!

      Hello Jules, thank you for asking and sharing! That is such a great question. My advice would be to share your story of your weight loss journey whether they ask about it or not and emphasize that being part of a fitness environment will help you and help you connect with potential members. Legally they are not supposed to ask about your appearance, except to ask if there are any accommodations that need to be made so it may not be brought up, but if YOU confidently identify your own eagerness to improve your health is so valuable! I hope this helps and good luck!

    FAILURE #1 of many - bringing required credentials does not reflect doing their research. Displaying required credentials proves they meet the minimum job requirements. Doing "research" means they investigated the gym's management history in attempts to progress the business model forward. Stop fidgeting under the table enough to shake your body above it. "Managers" don't ever have excuses. Employees practice to get it right. Managers are good enough at everything so they can not get it wrong.
