Genesis version hands down for me. I think a hard rock type theme sounds better on the Mega Drive. All the MMX MD covers you've done sound so much better than the original.
@@SomeAngryGuy1997 err...yeah,I've heard about Megaman X being ported for Sega Genesis. is being made by a fan... Here:m.ruclips.net/video/Z2LDcuNNFiM/видео.html#dialog It is still in development
This is good, but it seems a little flat in parts. Replacing that (I have no idea, the buzzy thing? at 1:40?) with something more energetic would be better.
Snes still sounds better, but this version is not so much behind. Sadly nearly no one could back in these days work with genesis sound capacity, in another hand most can with snes.
American composers weren't all bad, but American's were stuck with GEMS, which is the worst sound driver for the Genesis. It only lets the composers use preset FM patches that were all really terrible compared with what could actually be done. Also, if you'll remember, the Genesis sound is a synthesizer, not sample based like SNES, so the fact that you could get guitars and such like this with synth always tends to go over peoples heads.
This is really a matter of taste. One chip is a sampler, the other is a synthesizer, they are not so easy to compare, but in my opinion the Genesis chip is aging better. Yet again.. the different chips are good at different things..
I am slowly working on redoing some of my old, messy sounding Genesis covers.
Jet Hawk, Storm Albatross, Wave Swallow... The Babylon Mavericks.
Man, you made it just as it was created for to sound! Congratulations!
wow
oh shit, now my Genesis got a virus
You're awesome Raijin. This sounds even better than the original, as IMO it's a perfect song for the YM2612.

Now THIS is how MegaMan X should have sounded!
This is work that comes from the heavens. Damn man, great job!
Funny seeing my RZ here tttttttttttttooooooooo
It's STORM! EAGLE!
This remix is remarkable superior to those renditions made using the Ultimate Genesis Soundfont.
In real hardware, this track rocks much more.
Wow, and here I thought that v1 sounded awesome. This definitely shows what the YM2612 is capable of.
Better than the SNES original, damn. Someone should do a homebrew port of the original X with music like this.
Someone is already doing it...

Se fosse lançado megaman x pro mega drive, com certeza eles colocariam a música desse jeito pro padrão do mega drive!

GENESIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST THAN THE ORIGINAL O.O
*Much* better, undoubtedly. It sounds nice and clear now! Thank you FM!
I just realized something, you could re-score some tracks of the genesis port of Super Street Fighter II using this driver.
It would be cool, especially the themes from the new fighters like Cammy or Fei Long
I think I just jizzed
my pants exploded

Megaman x family, lost vikings for example sounds much better on snes, same battletoads double dragon.
