I wouldn't suggest user to immediately resample the bitmap after resizing/rotating it, because you never know if you will want to change the size/orientation afterwards. If you resample it to 300dpi immediately and later decide to enlarge it, you get a lower resolution image. Personally I would batch resample all bitmap to either 400dpi or 500dpi at the end of the session to keep the file size low, and only resample them to 300dpi when the design is confirmed.

After adjusting the size of the image and pressing enter, when I try to use the power clip & placing the image in the container, a dialogue box emerges- "You did not click on an object."
I tried everything, but nothing seems to work. Please help..

Are you certain that you first created a vector object covering the page by double clicking the shape tool? If you weren't paying close attention in the video, it is easy to forget as the vector object sits directly atop the page layout.
