I have a Pacific Blue EX+ on order from the factory. Arriving end of Feb. I love the Telluride but its just too big for my family needs and my garage. The Sorento checked all the right boxes and the EX+ has every feature we want in a modern car.
As cool as the telluride is, the size of the Sorento is just perfect! It's not as compact as a RAV4 and not bulky like a telluride or any of the like. Just waiting for the plug-in version to come into dealerships and for it to sport the new logo. I've gotten to see the pacific blue and this green color at my local dealership with the blackout trim and they are absolutely gorgeous! None of the video reviews or the photos online do it justice. They are definitely, Killing It Again 😬
I actually LOVE the Sorrento dashboard. I was glad to see the vents take a welcome departure from a sea of bland vent styles. In the models with leather the cinnamon color breaks up the monotony too. Good job Kia!
Love the channel. I have had the "S" model since late November here in the US and I love it more every day. The exterior styling is definitely what drew me in, but I personally love the interior too. I'm a huge fan of the unique interior styling and the odd shaped vents are one of the things I like most! Really enjoyable to own and the price was a huge factor for our family. We really wanted a telluride, but they are so in demand that dealers are basically charging whatever markup they want and still can't keep them on the lots.
I came across your videos randomly and I binged all most of your recent videos, great content and it actually feels like you know what you're talking about. Top notch quality. Thanks for updates about all the recent cars.
I just bought this car, but am told I have to wait weeks, possibly months for the SX trim in green! In Canada the SX is only available in blue right now. Love your videos btw.
I'm loving my blue SX. It's perfect for kids and dogs and is powerful enough to be boastful over. I would NOT take this sort of vehicle into any hardcore off road setting though. Trails and beach drives are its cup of tea from what I've seen and that is usually good enough for most people. It will be awesome in the snow.
@Jin Amarasinghe not bad. I wouldn't go by Kia's estimates though. Mainly because it depends upon your driving style. I have it set to Smart mode 24/7. Which will automatically adjust between economic, comfort and sport depending on your driving habits. I'd say I'm in eco/comfort mode a good 70/30 with my driving habits. No sport mode. Driving in that manor I am currently averaging 22.3mpg or so. Hopefully this gives you enough info.
@Jin Amarasinghe I'm not sure if the lower trims have the seat height adjustment, but the SX I have allows you to adjust the seat height. I had to give up my '13 civic si in order to get this and I gotta say that the Sorento feels similar to how my civic drove. It's very car-like in behavior. You still have to slow down more for sharper turns though. The Stinger would be badass to have if you don't need the space. If you need the space then the SX is amazing. It's also peppy and fast when necessary. I just played around with the smart cruise control the other day and the vehicle will drive itself down the highway. It was impressive. I'd wager the Stinger would also have a smart cruise control.
We have a Honda Accord 2019 but I also have 2 kids and we are tired of small cars. I been wanting to change my car for a while and my partner always says no but she saw this sorento a couple days ago and she loved it. We are really considering this.

You speak really well Mike. You are great to listen to. However, please try to plant your feet when you talk. I started getting motion sickness because you keep dancing back and forward when you speak. Otherwise, I really enjoyed your video. Well done!
There's a little bit of lag when stepping on the gas, but that's only because mine is turbo'd. I haven't noticed anything beyond that. You don't want to be rolling back and throwing it into drive unless you are avoiding a hazard. It can damage automatic transmissions. Same thing with rolling forward and going into reverse without stopping and pausing a little first.
Kia has basically redesigned their lineup in a very good way so completely understandable that A8 is bringing us the reviews. I love seeing the reviews here but I definitely appreciate variety too
there are different brands? why?! lol j/k! But omg, what Kia has accomplished in a little over 20 years is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Between this Sorento and Telluride, they are "destroying the myth" of buying a budget vehicle! And the Seltos is no slouch either, and the K5 etc their lineup will overtake the industry one car at a time. I can't even imagine what their next 20 years will be like at the rate they are going! BTC
Lol, apparently a guy that can’t take constructive criticism as well. Hahaha. Just trying to help you improve. Please don’t take it the wrong way. Anyway sorry for pointing it out.
Love your videos but I would wish you had a stylist. Those shoes aint it. The jacket with the pants don't work., but your cadence and knowledge of the vehicle's are amazing.
I wouldn't mind a little more preppy to go with the great production quality but hey, the reviews are pretty damn good and maybe comfy clothes is his thing

I got lucky enough to get the 2021 Telluride at MSRP.
Sorento, i like the crossover styling, but I don't need a big vehicle so the one that's closer to a sedan in driving dynamics will be the pick.
Very hard to decide but I'll probably go Telluride SX Nightfall for max comfort. Sorrento makes a tough choice in itself though

OK, back to the engine failure issue,
I was just contacted by Transport Canada several weeks after filing my initial report with them concerning the stalling of my 2015 Kia Sorento on the highway while I was with my wife and my 2 year old son. After the vehicle was restarted and having exited the highway, the engine began knocking loudly.
I took immediately to Mr. Lube who had always done my oil changes and other services, they showed my the oil level was fine and told me to have it inspected.

in Europe the car has a full digital display, why not in Canada ??
It does, but only on the SX trim.
@@shirazk8 Ah Ok thank you for the Info.
What is the colour name for this car please. Is it Aruba Green?
Yes, Aruba Stone*
The last Kia Sorento used to tow 5000 lbs.
Nice reviews 👍
Thanks 👍
Nice video!!!
Thanks!
No memory seat in the top model, really?
Soft edges? What are you looking at? It's all sharp edges even compared to the Telluride.
Way too many KIAs @acceler8.. hopefully some different brands soon
That was our last Kia for a bit. Two different brands next week.
Second !
Great vid and commentary. But pls avoid walking left right too much. Most professional presenters will coach you to avoid this.:)
I’m not a pro! Just a guy who does this for fun!

Hahaha!
Ya man, once we get to a million subs then I’ll be able to afford one!
I love those Adidas 🤷🏻♂️
I wouldn't mind a little more preppy to go with the great production quality but hey, the reviews are pretty damn good and maybe comfy clothes is his thing
The shark fin makes it ugly
Not a fan of the look of this. It’d look better if it were boxier, ala range rover. This looks like nearly every other crossover on the road.
That’s why they have the telluride
I have a kia optima with 106,000 motor is blown. Kia won't do anything. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK
shes a girl
Know anything about this? CarandDriver claiming that their test Sorento is starting to 'slip' after some months of driving: www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a39814400/2022-kia-sorento-sx-reliability-maintenance/
It’s hard for us to make reliability claims when we only get to test the cars for 7 days!
@@ACCELER8TV Oh, I wasn't asking you to. I may be stupid, but I ain't crazy! 😂
A just thinking out loud.
