    Just about to sit my end of Cert II (career start) in electrotechnology, I failed the exam the first time. This video was a nice little summary and I think it'll help me in my re-sit. Wish me luck!
    Ps. Did you notice, although your on screen calculations for the Current (I) = 69A were correct, in the audio, around @ 5:55 you said the answer was "96".

  • @mariefossum7318
    @mariefossum7318 5 лет назад +1

    this is prob. a stupid question but is there an easy way to remeber when i have to use I^2 ? EX. if i got the question about the light bulb on my exam ( to find the resistance) i could easly in my head write the formula: P= I* R, instead of P=1^2 *R. If you understand:P why do we use 1^2 here and not when we're finding the resistance in a circut?

    • @stepbystepscience
      @stepbystepscience  5 лет назад

      If I understand your question...there are three general equations for power. The one you use depends on what you are given, but I do not know of a good way to remember the equations.

    • @urano4810
      @urano4810 4 года назад

      Think of it as substitutions.
      You have
      V=I*R
      And
      P=V*I
      So if we know that V and (I*R) are equal to each other, we can substitute it into the power formula.
      Therefore
      P=(I*R)*I
      and you can rearrange that to be
      P=I*I*R
      Noting that I*I is the same as I^2, we can then rewrite it as
      P=(I^2)*R

    electrons are not colliding with atoms .... They are bring transfared into atoms ... Or exchanged into atoms....tjey dont lose energy too but they just pair with unlike electron charge... Negetive combines with a postive .. Then there the is energy being continuously shared between them so stable that the energy is not usable ..is not enough to use it unless broken ...
