Or checkout Kiss Unplugged, he was at his peak on that performance, I would say it's his best recorded vocals.

I hate to say it but his voice sounds more in tune with this music than with KISS. He's not straining and looks like he's having fun. This is Paul's retirement from KISS project and it suits him well.

Paul Stanley can sing anything, any genre and has never been afraid to take risks. He is such an awesome talent, lovely vocals, you don't get to play The Phantom if you can't sing do you? I feel that he has been largely overlooked and has a much better range than most people give him credit for. Of course, there's a multitude of us that know this and Soul Station is further proof of this man's versatility and unquestionable talent.
This is the best new release songs i have heard in a very long time. So catchy! I thought it was a cover, sounds like a classic soul song from years ago.

I donno. I never liked KISS (that doesn’t mean they are not great they just weren’t my style). But this right here…..this album I have been listening to since I woke up this morning on my way to work and I am absolutely blown away by this. This is a rare gem that is needed in today’s music. I have always loved Paul he was always my favorite I saw him years back play the Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera in Toronto and he was Phenomenal! That music and now this are a good fit for him and I am so glad to see him still going and bringing music to the world still. Love ya Paul!
I've only recently started liking Kiss and and i'm 37. From from listening them I love Paul Stanley's voice and his make up the best. Loving this solo song though. Love that 70's vibe. The band is fantastic and the back up singers. Made me wanna get sucked into the video and watch it live.

And the other ones are even better.. Paul is one of the greatest singers of the whole history. Rock, opera or soul station. This guy can sing whatever he wants and do it great? After giving concerts everyday in tours is impossible to keep the voice perfect. Waiting for kiss to come to Colorado...if they come to Colorado springs and Denver, I will go to both concerts..

I love this song "I Oh I" the most so far from Soul Station, but I love the whole thing. Soul Station really sounds great. Honestly, of course I still love KISS way more, but this is very cool too, hearing this style of music revived. Nobody else is doing it. This is is done very well too. I actually like some of these Soul Station versions better than the original versions.

You're imagining things. Neither Paul Stanley nor Soul Station have become anyone's icon. It is an old worn out genre of music. For the record I am in my 60's so this opinion is not based on my age. They say rock is dead? This old one hit wonder style of pop R&B has been dead for 50 years. This is nothing more than self indulgence on the part of Mr. Stanley. All these people that claim to be Kiss fans but love this even more are lying! The Kiss Army would never buy in to this product! It goes against everything Kiss stands for! I CALL B.S.!
I'm really enjoying this album because Paul sounds like he's settling into a more natural and unforced vocal register on it and it's working really well. He's still got a good voice, it's just not quite what it used to be due to age. No disrespect his way, mind you. I may buy this CD now!

alot of classy musicians on that stage. Paul has made another high mark in the music industry. still at it in his seventies and don't think he needs the bread. he's still working year round to give us enjoyment. he deserves the best if you ask me

And the other ones are even better.. Paul is one of the greatest singers of the whole history. Rock, opera or soul station. This guy can sing whatever he wants and do it great? After giving concerts everyday in tours is impossible to keep the voice perfect. Waiting for kiss to come to Colorado...if they come to Colorado springs and Denver, I will go to both concerts..

I love this song "I Oh I" the most so far from Soul Station, but I love the whole thing. Soul Station really sounds great. Honestly, of course I still love KISS way more, but this is very cool too, hearing this style of music revived. Nobody else is doing it. This is is done very well too. I actually like some of these Soul Station versions better than the original versions.
Agreed -- this sounds so fresh because no one else is doing it but also because Paul is clearly energized by this project!

Paul Stanley's Soul Station has become an R&B icon. And it's not just because of Paul - He's amazing, truly my #1 role model, but he's not just Soul Station. Think about Eric, Crystal, Gavyn, Raphael... they're all still there.

You're imagining things. Neither Paul Stanley nor Soul Station have become anyone's icon. It is an old worn out genre of music. For the record I am in my 60's so this opinion is not based on my age. They say rock is dead? This old one hit wonder style of pop R&B has been dead for 50 years. This is nothing more than self indulgence on the part of Mr. Stanley. All these people that claim to be Kiss fans but love this even more are lying! The Kiss Army would never buy in to this product! It goes against everything Kiss stands for! I CALL B.S.!
Peter's solo album was way better. You know. The one that Paul shat on for decades for having old-school songs like these on it.
I'm really enjoying this album because Paul sounds like he's settling into a more natural and unforced vocal register on it and it's working really well. He's still got a good voice, it's just not quite what it used to be due to age. No disrespect his way, mind you. I may buy this CD now!
I wish he would do another rock album but he gave us 100% for 50 yrs he deserves to do what makes him happy
