Correct, that whole family looks wonky. RH's wife's hair was found on one victim. You cannot tell me she was married to him for so many years, they were swingers for years, but she does not know that he murders call girls? No, she knows a lot more than she pretends not to.
I don't believe the wife was involved at all. He was too controlling he was the one in charge over these victims and over his family and meek timid wife. She was probably afraid of him. He isn't the type to include anyone in his sick fantasies.
@caseyvincent6817 I agree. Law enforcement specifically said she was out of state when the murders were committed. 👮♂️ think he did it at his home when his family was away. So that is why the wife's hair was on their bodies- because they were killed at the home. Why would law enforcement specifically exclude her if she wasn't innocent. Poor woman knew he was a pervert who used s workers but she had no idea about the killings
no body is a hero here. You have women selling themselves for money with strange men. Its illegal. Not only that serial killers and escorts go together. If you want prey this is perfect for men who are sadistic psycopaths. And every other perversion. Families suffer And if you are so concerned about your daughters why didnt you come forward a lot sooner.
Yeah it was Shannon’s mom and John Ray who really pushed this forward! Without them, who knows how long it would have been before those bodies were discovered!
He’s got way more than 4, you just don’t start doing this in your 40s or 50s, he’s been doing this for a while so they need to check every area he’s been or has property in, and look into those missing cases. Which a disgusting man and the wife is odd feels like she knew or had some sort of knowledge, although theirs been plenty of serial killers that kept this lifestyle well hidden like btk or the green river killer.
Of course, the other bodies. Just his style of disposing bodies changed because at his first times, he tried to dismember the bodies but was not easy and nobody discovered them, so he became more careless.

Watch True Crime with Nathan Adams coverage on this case. It's brilliant, and has many aspects I've never heard before regarding deaths and his old, known places of work, home, etc. Please give his exquisitly put together presentation a watch.
The police have investigated the whereabouts of his wife during these crimes. She has been cleared. His ex-roommates' hair has been found on the early victim, and that person wasn't around. Don't accuse until the police accuse. Someone like Rex is living a secret life away from his family, friends, and co-workers. He needed it to be a secret to keep living out his fantasies. I think he was a narcissistic abusive husband to his wife. She has a very beaten down look.
Regardless of how available the book is, it’s pretty messed up that Rex’s family is found with it out in the open long after he’s been arrested! Seriously makes me question how involved or aware they might have been of who he really was!
Paul durousseau, Henry Wallace, Samuel little , Anthony McKnight, Chester turner, Lorenzo gilyard... ALL BLACK ..to name FEW... Do you always show your racism on your sleeve ...and your ignorance of serial killers
If she was a street worker she may have left her family at an early ahe and had no photos taken sadly ..living on the streets usually doesn't include family photos and albums
Im not much of a fan of those profiler „facts“, especially if they are being conflated with mere guesses. I’m referring to the assumption that if Heuermann had killed a toddler he would not have wrapped the dead body in a blanket. I really don’t know. And implying the involvement of his wife based on quite some ifs is not really fair. Police seem to have evidence against Heuermann. Should they get evidence against his wife, she’ll be indicted. As of now, she’s not only not been accused, she has been cleared. We really have to take innocent until proven guilty seriously. Her life must be hell anyway. So, let’s not make assumptions.
Yeah, but the wife Asa was there when two sex workers were at the house because Asa accused them of stealing a clothes iron to the point of the car being searched.Asa was there when a man and two women showed up who were in to swinging. These are two separate occasions when Asa was in the house and knew what was going on!One of the women who was involved took and passed a lie detector test.
@@itchysheets1222 not really. They are frequently wrong. Basically everytime a serial killer isn’t a white male between 30 and 50. don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to attack a whole profession here. I’m only saying that it’s not an exact science.
If that’s the book I saw when I was in like 7-8th grade it made me physically ill and very very depressed suddenly like it was haunted. I guess that’s a healthy response to that trash tho
Im perplexed... What happened to the man cops let go free ? The man that is herd on phone telling victim basically everything was okay. While being murdered while 911 was on the phone 🧐⚖️ theres more than one man involved if we are being truthful.... God bless the victims 🙏💔
The horrible thing is, he IS human. We humans all have the *potential* for the very best behaviours, the very worst behaviours, and everything in between.
Another botched investigation. It's only thanks to Rodney Harrison and his task force these cases were solved and he was indicted, Suffolk pd didn't care until then
Curious why he always says "The accused" because he doesnt want to say their names, but he didnt have an issue saying Chad Daybell's name? Love your show!
I don't believe it about the book. I HIGHLY DOUBT that book was out in the open. Why does this attorney insist on demonizing the entire family? He's SO SURE Asa was in on it when he doesn't know sh*t. And as an attorney, he KNOWS better! Wait until there's EVIDENCE, then speculate. NOT before.
John Ray has been honest about everything so far, I would suspect the family of lying before I suspected John Ray of lying. He’s just trying to let the public know what is going on with these people. Time will tell who’s lying.
Why did it take the police so long to release the 911 call that Shannan made? Why were they so insistent that she accidentally drowned? Why were they denying connecting her to these other cases? I feel like there's something on that recording of the 911 call that she made that is detrimental to people. In my opinion there's a group of people involved in these murders not just one. Why not hold EVERYONE accountable?
Thank God for John Ray. Without him, none of these women would have been found. That they haven't charged him with Shannon yet is unbelievable. I agree, there are a lot of hunters and hunting clubs or groups on Long Island. There are a lot of like-minded people and clubs or groups for them here as well. Not to mention the presence of Burke halting investigation for so long.... disgraceful.
Am I the only one that’s not convinced? The press briefing the Suffolk DA and his team gave when they arrested Rex was sus. The only law enforcement official that acted with professionalism was the FBI agent that spoke at that press briefing. Plus, the description they used to identify Rex as the killer could also be used to describe my parent’s neighbor, also on LI. So many of the victims have different killer MOs. I’m interested to see the DNA evidence and what else they have against him before thinking the killer(s) of all these women is off the street.
It would seem that some of the evidence could have been compromised in the first search that is related to the new two victims at Manorville and going back for more evidence in his house it’s possible some has been lost, IMO!
@@GabrieleSablotny-vs7di they found any bodies in his backyard? No. How about victim’s belongings? Did he confess? Where’s the murder weapon? Witnesses positively id’ed him? Even then, they’re supposed to be reliable after decades?
Hollman (2020) explains the differences between the pathological narcissist, the sociopath and the psychopath. “The main difference between the narcissist and the sociopath or psychopath is that the narcissist may experience or learn to experience some remorse and eventually some empathy for actions that hurt others and his maltreatment is verbal not physically aggressive or violent” (Hollman, 2020). As per literature, psychopaths possess innate abnormalities regardless of their environments, which is the difference between the psychopath and the sociopath. Contrary to the narcissist, sociopaths and psychopaths cannot experience remorse and may be violent. She highlights the following points about psychopaths: 1. They possess all the characteristics of the sociopath and the narcissist (NPD). 2. They have no regard for right and wrong and thus violate the law and the rights of others. 3. Brain pathology is found in many research studies that reveal abnormalities such as less volume in the area of the brain called the amygdala where fear is processed, empathy is generated, and emotional regulation takes place and in the orbital frontal cortex where decision making occurs. 4. Due to these brain abnormalities, psychopaths don’t process punishment in the same way as normal people. Thus, they are not inclined to respond to punitive behavior by parents or others in authority. That is, punishment does not discourage immoral or violent behavior. 5. Have differences in specific regions of the brain such as fewer connections between the ventromedial prefrontal cortex where feelings of empathy and guilt are processed. It is also found that there are abnormalities in the amygdala where fear and anxiety are mediated. 6. They verbalize without emotion. Even when describing their crimes and basic human needs (food, water, money) they are incapable of feeling and expressing normal human emotions. 7. Evidence supports the affirmation that they commit more crimes than others. 8. There is no cure for psychopathy.
Interesting questions. He probably got bolder w each murder and felt exhilaration at leaving identifiable body parts near the beach, where one would presume easier discovery, risky. this guy seems to have found it fun to bury clues along the beach knowing no one would find them. He'll he probably strolled the beaches and thought of the parts buried beneath his feet. I'm guessing here but he has a sick mind. Who can really know why he did it. As for why he cut them up, I think about the Netflix series, "mind hunter" very good show about the dark psychology of serial killers. I'm guessing he dismembered them possibly bc it's easier to bury parts, or maybe bc he loved the beach and hunting locations so he wanted his trophies nearby? I'm not sure.
@@skeleton_wa_migraine1736 thank you for commenting. Yeah I'm thinking that's so strange because if it were me and I were trying to hide my crime, I would have separated those parts if I needed to, but I think I would have like buried them really deeply or put them in the garbage (I feel bad saying not even) not very logical and almost toying with public. But we know he did that when he phoned victim's sister from Times Square using her phone. He is awful.
Wouldn't the daughter's boyfriend have some insight as to how they were living, as to whether they were part of a cult or not. It is becoming more creepy.
Would you please learn how to pronounce the names of the victims? You’re being very disrespectful when you don’t even take the time to learn how to pronounce the name of the victims.

Shannon Gilbert is the angel that lead authorities to these bodies so they could have their names back. RIP
Watch True Crime with Nathan Adams coverage on this case. It's brilliant, and has many aspects I've never heard before regarding deaths and his old, known places of work, home, etc. Please give his exquisitly put together presentation a watch.
Same, Nathan Adams has been a masterful web sleuth for this case
He goes so in depth. I hope he follows more cases, because his research is top notch.
Nathan Adams is GREAT!
That you ms Gilbert rip
The police have investigated the whereabouts of his wife during these crimes. She has been cleared. His ex-roommates' hair has been found on the early victim, and that person wasn't around. Don't accuse until the police accuse. Someone like Rex is living a secret life away from his family, friends, and co-workers. He needed it to be a secret to keep living out his fantasies. I think he was a narcissistic abusive husband to his wife. She has a very beaten down look.
That book is widely available
What’s the book called ?
Death Scenes A homicide detectives Scrapbook by Jack Huddleston available on Kindle etc
Regardless of how available the book is, it’s pretty messed up that Rex’s family is found with it out in the open long after he’s been arrested! Seriously makes me question how involved or aware they might have been of who he really was!
@@wolfpecker5710wait they had the book in theyre possession? Wow
Rex huherman always got some fly drip on 🚫🧢
Usual barbaric suspect..
Yup!
Usually usual suspect is describing people that don’t look like this guy!
@@OneHunnitNoCapStannitOnBidnisz he looks like a serial killer are u kidding me?
I thought only white people are racist
Paul durousseau, Henry Wallace, Samuel little , Anthony McKnight, Chester turner, Lorenzo gilyard...
ALL BLACK ..to name FEW...
Do you always show your racism on your sleeve ...and your ignorance of serial killers
I wasnt even aware of the longbisland serial killer 😮 so sad😢
Why do they always put the picture of karen V. when she was 15? No recent pics???
If she was a street worker she may have left her family at an early ahe and had no photos taken sadly ..living on the streets usually doesn't include family photos and albums
I feel like the whole family had some involvement in this situation
They were swingers?
Yes the people you see now are older but picture them younger and swingers that paints a different picture
Prove it Einstein
She was on holiday every time a murder was committed, he waited for her to go away before hunting
Hey Vinnie 👋.
1:27 justice for SHANNON!
RH should just skip trial and go straight to death row. Period!
There is no DP in NY
New York has no death penalty
Nope not in NYC
What about the earlier bodies
John Ray gets a bad rap, but IMO he's a stand up guy. Who else has stayed with this case as long as he has?
💯
When profilers “guess” it is an extremely educated “guess.”
@@itchysheets1222 not really. They are frequently wrong. Basically everytime a serial killer isn’t a white male between 30 and 50.
don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to attack a whole profession here. I’m only saying that it’s not an exact science.
Wow I actually remember seeing Death Scenes by Jack Huddleston as a kid. I think Urban Outfitters was selling it or barnes and nobles.
One would wonder why an architect would allow his house to look dilapidated unless he’s hiding something in the basement and walls even 🤔
You would think if that was the case he would go to even more extremes and make it look nicer so not to attract unwanted attention.
He's not human.
The horrible thing is, he IS human. We humans all have the *potential* for the very best behaviours, the very worst behaviours, and everything in between.
Poor Michael Brown. He's such a gorgeous, intelligent man... I'm sure he gets a little sick in his mourh every time he has to defend this dreadful man
I think they will all be his victims
So they do this but they demolish the Idaho 4 house?
Another botched investigation. It's only thanks to Rodney Harrison and his task force these cases were solved and he was indicted, Suffolk pd didn't care until then
uhm, it was searched heavily multiple times beforehand. what’s your actual point?
@@jendee1260 Fed alert.
Heuermann might be just the first one discovert of a group like minded people on Long Island. He certainly had more than four victims.
Commentator has Shatner’s sense of punctuation
17:17 - I like Vinnie, he's a great presenter, but it's good that Darnell put him straight here.
What punishment will he get .
Curious why he always says "The accused" because he doesnt want to say their names, but he didnt have an issue saying Chad Daybell's name? Love your show!
Maybe cause chads convicted now? Idk, I never noticed
He did all of them I think the law enforcement will take him out for sure
This dude most likely had 💯 + bodies no doubt about it
I don't believe it about the book.
You are extremely naive or ignorant if you don’t believe that the wife had some involvement in all of this!
If everyone else has to be held accountable then why can't he be?!
Love Mr Ray's outfit.
I agree.
It would seem that some of the evidence could have been compromised in the first search that is related to the new two victims at Manorville and going back for more evidence in his house it’s possible some has been lost, IMO!
They’re getting hopeless as they have nothing concrete against him.
Wanna bet..??😊
@@GabrieleSablotny-vs7di they found any bodies in his backyard? No. How about victim’s belongings? Did he confess? Where’s the murder weapon? Witnesses positively id’ed him? Even then, they’re supposed to be reliable after decades?

I'm glad someone liked this comment. Surprised I am the only person to comment on the issue.
Really, only women know how to wrap a baby in a blanket?
That's ridiculous.
She highlights the following points about psychopaths:
What is the book called and who wrote it? Jack adleston?
Death Scenes: Jack Huddleston
What was the benefit be to separate the body parts and is there a reason why he left the identifiable parts like the arms and the head at the beach?
Most people have, like, a book of crossword puzzles on their kitchen table. But these people have a gruesome photo book of dead bodies...
Causetilla John
It means ribb

17:14.....each count of murder could possibly hold its own death sentence ...so why not add them up
Wouldn't the daughter's boyfriend have some insight as to how they were living, as to whether they were part of a cult or not. It is becoming more creepy.
He will make a deal to save his life and confess...........
He’s not facing the death penalty. No DP in NY.
