  • Barrow County, Georgia: Investigators say a 14-year-old student opened fire at Apalachee High School, killing four people. At least nine other were left injured. The suspect killed two teachers and two students.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation named Colt Gray as the shooter. Investigator say a motive is unclear but in a join statement the FBI with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office revealed law enforcement knew about Gray for more than a year.
The FBI's National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about threats Gray made online. The posts included photographs of guns and the threat to shoot up an unknown school.
The FBI brought the then 13-year-old in for questioning. "The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have unsupervised access to them," the FBI wrote in a statement. "The subject denied making the threats online. Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject."

      1) More and more providers are not accepting this insurance because it doesn't pay them enough.
      2) This makes finding a provider difficult, if you do find one, they are usually swamped and no longer taking new patients.
      3) The mental health care profession is utter garbage. They don't want to find the source of the problem, they just want to throw pills at it. If the pills don't work, they can't help you.
      4) Therapists are horrific. They don't know what to do. You are simply a case study for them and nothing more.

What I like to know is this kid on any medication for “ADHD” or mental issues. People want to talk usually about guns, type of gun used. Guns are not the issue because they don’t get up and go shoot people just like cars don’t start up and run into people or other cars by themselves. It’s requires a human participant and no one really talks about what’s actually going on with them. This seems more important that what gun they used. Our family owns guns but they have never got up and gone to shoot anyone. My boys were raised shooting guns and they never went out to shoot people. So the issues is what’s going on with the human component. Why is no one asking those question? Easy to blame a gun or access to them. But the same could be actually said about cars yet crickets on that.

That is the problem, he was considered innocent when making threats, by Law that is. The Law needs to change on these particular matters since they are too common now. Threat making needs to be case for arrest and incarceration either in mental facilities or prison. As it stands, there is no fear of consequences. If the students who knew him saw him do it, then try him in the courts and until the verdict is read, yes, not legally tagged as guilty by the Law but before that he IS guilty by everyone who watched him di it.

As I understand the law, threatening harm is a criminal offense…
But, can you imagine the PRISONS that would need to be built to hold and house everyone who makes a threat?
Imagine the cost to do that…
Wouldn’t it be better to teach people that life is Sacred and should be protected?

@@pasqualedifazio1563I'm sure she has plenty. Just also acknowledging the tragedy of the fact that a 14 year old without a fully developed brain felt the need to do this in the first place. Do you think their life was all sunshine and rainbows, then they woke up one morning and thought "Gee, it sure would be fun to go on a killing spree"? Obviously it doesn't justify what they did, but again. 14 years old. Something is wrong with that picture.
And if you're wondering what could possibly drive any normal person to do something like this, you're already feeling it right now. Rage. Hatred. The feeling that an injustice has happened and needs to be corrected. When those kinds of feelings become strong enough, especially in someone with poor control of their emotions (like the average teenager), it can lead to things like this.
An ounce of prevention is gold when a cure doesn't exist. It's far more effective to stop killers from being made than it is to try to stop them. And if it's reached the point of having to punish them, it's already too late.
That's all hard to think about though. So let's just keep blaming guns, video games, parents, etc. That'll fix everything.

Add this one to the list as well : FedEx shooter (Indy): Indiana has red flag law since 2005, he was reported suicidal and investigated by FBI, shotgun taken from home, how did he passs background check later for 2 AR-15's? Aurora shooter: government was warned by his psych. Sugarland shooter, government failed to report his crime to background database. Parkland shooter, was on the police radar for years, sheriff did not enter and stop shooter. Odessa shooter, failed background check, lied on form, no government prosecution. Charleston shooter, FBI background check failed to deny and should have because of prior crimes. Wal-mart shooter, failed background check 5 years ago, lied on form, no prosecution. Ohio shooter, authorities warned of hit list and desire to kill people, government did nothing. I can go on and on. See a pattern here?

If he’s posting about shooting then yes make a move, but if he doesn’t do anything prior to what happened theres not much to do. In that case you give the Fed authority to go after anyone they consider a threat. That won’t always work out well.
