Can the 100mm travel be run at a shortened axle to crown length ? The pickins are slim for 'quality' 80mm travel forks. So I was wondering if this for could be an option ?

My 2010? TS8 29er forks doesn't feel plush as Fox forks. Would replacing it with some other oil make any difference?
