Love your enthusiasm. Zomboid really feels like anyone can play it and find something they enjoy about it and it looks like you just enjoy building a base somewhere safe and making it cozy and organised.
So great to see another new player finding their way to Zomboid and loving it as much as we do. I have played on and off for years, but about a month ago, my girlfriend downloaded it and we play together every day. Zomboid is a rare gem in that the combination of its open world nature and its prolific modding community is a recipe for us to truly make the world our own and play exactly how we like to play!
I don't like areas where trees can grow but I like the base layout, it's well thought out and has everything you need. I'm going to begin collecting magazines as well. Didn't realize it would be useful to have them around for other characters.
its so cool to see new bases like this, i'm currently held up in a train station on the outskirts of muldraugh and it's looking really good :) the base building in this game is so fun!!
when i was a few weeks into this game i didnt know nearly anything as much as you did, props to you by a lot. i have 1000 hours now and ive finally been using factors of the game like carpentry and mechanics, awesome base i love it
Awesome base!! Very impressive hoarding and organizing skills 😅I'm more of a nomadic player but starting to settle into more permanent housing now. Tysm for some really cool ideas I may use as well. Cheers and keep up the Zomboid content!
I don't care about 'professionalism' i care about videos of people enjoying themselves. This qualifies and passes with flying colors. I hope you find days of enjoyment plating this because i do
@@anthroplant7879 aw that’s a super sweet comment, thank you! I feel like the world would def be better if we tried to focus more on things that we love rather than competing about who’s better at xyz
I forgot it was even called Valley Station, Ive never known anyone have a base there, it does make you a Valley girl though. You havent even gone down the rabbit hole of mods yet, there are some great mod maps for lush bases and KI5 cars really take car collecting to a new level, you wont regret modding, or play on a modded MP server and let them take care of it. Welcome to the PZ addiction.
Bases that aren't just pre-built houses always look so comfy. Never thought about it before, but the valley station junkyard is pretty good spot - it's the only walled-off junkyard that's near the river too IIRC. Yeah, wooden fences look ugly. Wish it was possible to make half-walls and plaster them.
Me and a friend had a beautiful base we set up over the course of a month We extended a two story-house, surrounded it with plantations and walls Everything was symmetrical and perfect with multiple doors per entrance Every corner and entrance had kill-zone windows with view on any zombie The house had multiple doors acting like checkpoints We also had rare helicopter events activated so this one time the base was breached We must have killed 200 hundred zombies and had to retreat to the last indoor checkpoint It was glorious, I should have made a video of the base like yours before I deleted the server
People say im not good at creating videos and they drop the most amusing and lovely ones , cant wait to see u dropping more PZ videos and why not streaming ;)
I have a base in Muldraugh and Westpoint. Never been to Louisville, but now I know where to establish a precursor base. Thank you for the tip! Definitely following!
I love this. I'm a new player also, and im currently in the gated subdivision in riverside. My goal is yo build a base from scratch in the gated park there. Loved your tour❤
Wait till you get into it and ramp down the loot settings. :) I have spent the last three days with friends eating cockroaches dandelions and millipedes while the rest of the team were looking for a gas can and a needle. We found the gas can but the injured player requiring the needle had to commit suicide before turning into a zed. Project Zomboidis a great game. Your base looks like heaven.
And then I remember my goofy base with tons of low-level crafted crates stuffed with veggies, ammo, books and tools all at once. That's what is lack of woman's touch can make of places
Very awesome base, such a good spot too! :D I'd maybe leave 1 gap around all planted... plants to avoid disease spreading to other plants. But honestly it's not too big of a deal if stay on top of it. Plus you have more food to fall back on if needed.
@@banana3399 that’s crazy that it’s showing up in anyone’s recommended lol! I was really just showing the base and hadn’t planned on making “content” but been debating it lately based on reception 😅
Lovely base! Simple & organised, with a warm homely feel. Nice and relatively quiet spot on the map but, still close to great looting places. Been a while since I played a pure vanilla session. Just recently uploaded our 120+ mod multiplayer base xD Edit: Composting starts 2 weeks after putting in your first rotten food. Right click the composter to see how many % is in there. You'll need an empty sack and a shovel/throwel to scoop it out after there's at least 10% in there.
Our group has held up there before, although our base was not nearly as nice. I was going to build a giant watchtower/blockhouse using the building off to the North.
i dont mind the mints. great way to cure depression in game. just a handful of breathmints fixes everything. remember all the crazy stuff that happened in those old mentos commercials? they took just one. 5 puts my character back in the mood to kill the hoard, instead of lazily swing my weapon, because sad.
I'm using the junkyard west of Riverside right now. It's chain link fence around it. And its really remote too. I would put a 2nd set of steps next to the ones you have now. Would make it harder to fall off them or the roof. in your menu that shows your character. It has a button that shows you all the things you read, watched or listened too.
@@vocalizingdreams oh man, I've always wanted to cook in game. All I do is toss the uncooked meats I find in an oven and just worry about surviving instead of thriving. Please do!
if you made a hole in your wall with sledge hammer you can rebuild the wall through carpentry if you didn't want that metal gate, by your BBQ, as a breach point.
I have to laugh about your comment about collecting cars. I never got it when I would watch my friends play zomboid. I wondered why they would have so many. They finally got me to start playing about a month ago and I have almost a dozen cars in various states for different purposes. 😂
Hello fellow Zomboid player, nice too see your base it’s a good one! I see that you still on Vanilla wait until you get mods! Way more ways of decorating and stuff, and a tip: You can place items on ground and rotate them for decorating and living up the place!
i remember that first time playing this game and being equally proud of an even rattier first base. was the doctors house in Muldraugh. this was almost 10 years ago which blows my mind and makes me feel elderly. but ive been watching mp videos and soon as build 41 drops, were doing that with my kid. btw, only video game i encourage him to play. made him respect my cooking. and my axe.
@vocalizingdreams im both super excited and dreading it because all mods will be broken and some will for sure not get updated again 🥲🥲🥲. BUT HEY!! Finally can have that full stardew valley vibe with my chickens and cows 💜
