Dear woman, do not attach a lot of importance to a marriage if the man doesnt. If he wants the marriage to stay he will treat you right. If he mistreats you and you stay, he will take it that you are very desperate.
Can we normalize not faulting and shaming the victim? No one falls in love with the guy who abuses them. We fall for the smart, sweet guy who made us laugh uncontrollably when we first met him. I have been this girl and I can confidently tell you, NONE of it was my fault. We wanted healthy relationships just like the rest of you. We hold on because sometimes you don't understand abuse for what it really is. Before you type out something mean remember life has no experts.
There may be no experts but we can learn from others.

The rush to this marriage and the church presiding over it too without presence or knowledge of her parents or his significant family members in attendance was enough indication the man was crazy. Also ladies have to stop jumping into relationships or marriage to some of these men cos they live or work abroad and will take them abroad! SOME of those men are nuts! Don't be blinded by thought I'd telling and living in America, Europe, Canada, or wherever outside your country cos you might be headed to misery till you find your way out or he simps you, whichever comes first.

You wil raise again hundred folds. Such men are just lovers. I have gone thro a narcissist fiance but myself didn't allow himself to control. Am now happy, very independent and enjoying life with my babies. God turned my tears into joy and blessings

I too dated a narcisist got a baby with him but wuee! Those people can abuse you emotionally hadi ujione you are a nobody! Am out now and i dont trust relationships coz I fear to get involved with another narcisist.
I have listened to this story but struggled to listen to the end but I did. I am very sympathetic with how you were treated BUT I have some questions, what if this guy had HIV, you also mentioned that when you visited his church you loved how they sang what about the teaching of the word, was the word based on God's word? I think a church that would go ahead and marry two people without first announcing it to the congregation a number of times and the lady visibly looking surprised, confused and scared, shouldn't have gone ahead with the wedding. There were lots of red flags there, hopefully you have learnt and you will now warn others not to rush be very careful. Praying for your total healing where you have been heart broken 🙏

Ladies also need to stop jumping into relationships and marriage to a man just because he lives or works abroad so they can go live abroad in the name of marriage. The pain in a miserable or abusive marriage is the same whether you are abroad or in your own country. Just because a man who wants to marry you so fast is from Dubai or from America, Europe, Canada, or outside your country and keys in and out to see you doesn't mean he is all that! Some of these abroad wo(men) are a pain in the neck.

No there's no reason to stay i left anyone can do ..in kawangware I was known like ni yule mama mwangi huchapwa but through God's grace I managed to leave im now in London safe and sound!

weeeeh I hate emotional abuse ,it's such a trigger I can't stand men 💔😭 I was constantly abused by my ex baby daddy verbally it broke me so much 6 years down the line aijaheal, I get a guy we date briefly he says something ata jokingly I get triggered I ghost him and the circle goes on ,but am for marriage and I am praying that God heals my heart and send me a good man.
