This is one of the best tutorial videos dealing with the bangs. I cut a lot of hair in southern NY. They like their hair to brush back without the volume (I call it the Steven Seagul). Though I thin out the volume so it flattens, you process makes it brush back and blend beautifully. Greatest Pompadour video as well.
Man I absolutely love your lessons and overall style. Barber of 3 years here and fades are overly popular here in the states. Most barbers couldn't do these longer classics if their life depended on it.

I have my cosmetology degree but I do so many more men’s haircuts which are usually buzz one length with sideburns or beard faded in or all out pomps and traditional cuts. I do women’s hair but this video is where I need to be! The esthetics of the shop, throwback style and appreciation for all things first half of the 20th century, and most importantly that cut you gave was just perfection. I always have trouble talking to other professionals about how I see and do my sections, lines, body positions etc. and I never can quite get through to them But it was like you articulated perfectly how you do this and I was literally speaking along verbatim at certain parts because that’s exactly the things I say!!!! I know this is a long shot but is their any way to get apprenticeships at your shop. I would give up everything to come do that. I have a good amount saved up for one final chance of a lifetime before I turn 40 in 1year 4months. My daughter would be completely financially taken care of. I would have enough saved to pay myself to live so I could devote 100% of my day treating an apprenticeship like a job!!!! Please let me know what I would have to do! I will do whatever it takes as long as I don’t have to give up my honor, integrity, and morals!!!! GREAT VIDEO! TOP NOTCH Ol’ Son!!!!

I feel you. This is what happens where i live. I cant find a barber like his anywhere here even if we got 100 of them all around. They know 3-4 basic stuff you can do all alone and they think are barbers. They cant even shape hair up as you tell them. Insane
I show the hair style to someone that did know how to cut hair... now I got that hair style I been wanting.... that was like a couple months ago... literally all eyes on me everywhere I go.

One of the guys in the shop i work in does excellent fades, but can’t do longer cuts to have his life.
