I just tried this and it turned out GORGEOUS (I spray painted it gold). So fun and relaxing. I'm amazed at how you figured out the folds to end up with this. Well done and thank you!
I've never seen anything like this. But now I need to find a book and make one. This is amazing to me. I can hardly wait to go get a book and make this teapot. Thank you so much for showing this. I'm totally amazed.
Oh. Haha. Perfect. Thanks so much again for your wonderful craft idea. I have worked in a Tea Room for 24 years, wait till they see one on these. I can’t wait to try.
oh fab that would be brilliant. remember shorter books will give you smaller pot body they make it look more like a teapot. and my spout is a bit low too my sister used to work in a cafe she said if the spout is low you cant fill the pot up or it comes out the spout and burns you before you fill it up ha ha ha
thank you so much for sharing your tea pot. my sister is really into English tea cups and saucers, this will be a great surprise gift to add to her collections.she has about 90 cups thank you!!!!!
I always comment alley because I’m always amazed and inspired I’m on my 3rd project, the hot air balloon which is same folds you’re doing now. I’m struggling now.Tyfs🤗👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🐾🐈⬛🐾
I love this along with everything else I have seen on your page! You've taught me everything I know! I have even come up with my own unique Paper flower Vase arrangements! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! : )
My craft group is planning a literary tea party and I want to make the tea pots and cups as decorations and give away gifts to author participants. Very good instructions. Thank you!
Remember this is also the pattern for the hot air balloon and the big mouse. diffrent hight and width of books will give you diffrent heights of tea/coffee pot
Thank you honey I appreciate it come join my Facebook page if you haven't already done so its Craftytwunts bit of a pun name but its fun and free to join xx
You are welcome honey have fun making them the teapot and balloon are the same fold I have still to try making a top hat like in the mad hatter I will get around to that one day. Thank you for watching xx
Dear Alison, Thank you for a great tutorial. I have my book ready and waiting. I do enjoy your creativity and have watched most of your tutorials. Your prompt in saying that you do not get many comments has prompted me :) to comment. We tend to be busy in our days that sometimes a thank you gets lost between keyboard and lips. Love your work and the accent.
Sherrie, this fold also makes the hot air balloon if you turn it upside down. and the mouse if you only fold half the amount. The mouse is better if you use a very small paperback like a Mills and Boon type book.
Thank you for taking the time to show us this. Very clear description. My daughter is turning 30 next year and wants a Alice in wonderland themed party and I think these would make lovely table decorations. Need to find your T Cup one now.
The tea cup is easy just a bit fiddly to fold at the end as it gets tight. If you do the hollow cup Iv found the more pages you do the better it looks so do at least 50 more than what I said. I need to edit that one to tell people because mine went a bit limp after a few weeks. ha ha ha ha
You are extremely talented and do beautiful work. I must say for something that looks very complicated you do a excellent job showing and explaining how to achieve a beautiful outcome. Thank you and I will be watching out for more of your beautiful creations.
your welcome, remember if you dont add a handle and spout turn it upside down and you get the hot air balloon or use smaller books for smaller pots and balloons. Thank you for watching
That sounds wonderful please join my craftytwunts facebook page and show me what you make. There is a tutorial showing you how to make a cut out vase, now if you get a template of a beer bottle cut it down the centre to make a long half of a bottle you could make cut outs that will look like bottles ha ha I could try and make you a template if you want to try it.
I loved your teapot/coffee pot Alison thank you so much for your tutorial ...you asked for request for other book folding projects..I would love to learn how to make a vase..my daughter has a Birthday coming up and I thought maybe a vase with some flowers would be a nice gift please..Thank you in anticipation x☺
OK I was going to do a vase but the ones I know are cut out it opens a whole new chapter in book art. I am working on a download package of vase templates for my subscribers. I will work out a book fold that could become a vase for you, just give me a bit of time. Pop back soon or if you have subscribed you should get an alert into your gmail that I have posted a new tutorial. Thank you for watching
If you use a smaller book Faye it will look more like a tea pot just in case you have tea loving relatives too hahah there is also a tutorial for a cup to go with it
This is the same pattern for the hot air balloon too, There is a tutorial on that if you use a colorful book results are amazing. Thank tou for watching.
Alison Russell's RUclips Channel iv seen the hot air balloon one on you channel just been putting off watching because I no I will become obsessed with making it lol but I will watch it today xx
yes I did struggle a bit. Sometimes depending on the paper you need less folds, sometimes a bit more if its thin paper. I think 90% of people struggle at the end of every book fold. I have a lot of book folding friends and I am in a good few facebook groups and most if not all struggle with the last dozen or so folds.
Love it! Got give this a try! I have alway want to know how to make one.😊 Thanks to you! What size book would you use to make a tea pot?Tfs. Hugs, Vicki
Great tutorials, I have offered to do some bookfolding volunteer work for a few weeks and I'm looking for a paperback teapot/cup pattern. Did you possibly have any? Thanks
almost all on my channel especially the object folded ones like the teapots, balloon, doll, candles and cups don't have patterns you just need to demonstrate the page fold. Only the heart has a pattern you can download book folding patters on google for free too. There are a few free ones in the files on my craft group Type into Facebook search the word Craftytwunts you will find the free craft group I run.
You can make the coffee pot in a smaller book then it looks like a wee dumpy tea pot hahaha It is the height of the book that makes it look like a coffee pot
Sorry I'm a little unclear on the pages. Is that 140 individual pages number 280 front and back? Or is it 280 actual pages numbered 560 front and back?
If you draw 2 circles together like body shape, cut it out then half it down the middle you will have a template you can cut around it as I did in the cutout vase. Just add a string for a tail paper ears and some whiskers
I am not very good at make any thing like the spout or the handle do you have a pattern for them, as I have made the teapot now just need the handle etc?
no i just drew it on paper until i was happy with the shape then cut a few out and glued them together or cut it out in card. Ha ha ha I has 20 odd bits of paper until i got what i wanted. but sadly i did not keep the pattern try google tea pot spout and tea pot handle drawings. you might get lucky there.
If the book is 23cm the body of the pot will be 23cm I may have said inches instead of cm Ha ha I'm 55 and my brain still tries to work on imperial the old measurements in the UK.
I like it so much this is very good I like this I know how to do tea cup now thank you for giving this video in RUclips who given this video give this like video so many please I have subscribed and like that shit please give this like video
yes the height of the book will determine the height of the finished pot, shorter books will make small dumpy tea pots tall ones will make it more like a Victorian coffee pot. just keep folding until you are happy with it.
I like this so much I subscribe and like the and shared for my all WhatsApp members please give me so many videos fall in RUclips to see ok thank you for giving this video this is a very awesome video I subscribed this video and I like it

I was fascinated watching you told the teapot! Your instrauctions are spot on. Thanks for sharing. I believe I will try to do a book. Yay!
Sherrie, this fold also makes the hot air balloon if you turn it upside down. and the mouse if you only fold half the amount. The mouse is better if you use a very small paperback like a Mills and Boon type book.

Sorry I'm a little unclear on the pages. Is that 140 individual pages number 280 front and back? Or is it 280 actual pages numbered 560 front and back?
140 individual, just fold until you are happy with it as some paper is thicker than others.
Beautiful new to your channel.do you have any patterns on cats?
If you draw 2 circles together like body shape, cut it out then half it down the middle you will have a template you can cut around it as I did in the cutout vase. Just add a string for a tail paper ears and some whiskers
Thank you very much

I am not very good at make any thing like the spout or the handle do you have a pattern for them, as I have made the teapot now just need the handle etc?
no i just drew it on paper until i was happy with the shape then cut a few out and glued them together or cut it out in card. Ha ha ha I has 20 odd bits of paper until i got what i wanted. but sadly i did not keep the pattern try google tea pot spout and tea pot handle drawings. you might get lucky there.
beautiful
Thank you.
I was wondering if you have the measurements wrong on the teapot. 23 inches is much taller than what’s in your hand?????
If the book is 23cm the body of the pot will be 23cm I may have said inches instead of cm Ha ha I'm 55 and my brain still tries to work on imperial the old measurements in the UK.
Like if you love Alison and her tutorials!!!
Ha ha thank you xxx
