- A slow-motion video of the original Coaster Dynamix Scorpion rollercoaster model. This model was built in 2005 and is from the original Scorpion series. There have been various versions of this kit released since, in different colours.
The model is based on a B&M inverted rollercoaster.

@@holdtightriders Being slowed down like that, I think makes it way more realistic/enjoyable to watch! Seeing any other model roller coasters are cool, but just not as appealing, like there's something totally lost when seeing it in regular speed, others just zip through the whole ride way too fast. @@devonchannell46 why so rude man? I actually own one of these things so i know what im talking about. Mine is pushing 9 years old and it runs like its brand new. Theyre not toys. These things take maintenance and care to keep running. Theyre very finniky. Theyre also delicate. Also expensive. A toy is like $50 max. These are hundreds of dollars per kit. My wooden kit was $600. If you were to see the instruction manual for this thing youd think again. A toy is a knex coaster you can buy at walmart, not these. You cant buy these anywhere actually. Theyre very specialized... and... if theyre toys, then why have real parks, like seaworld, kings island and kings dominion actually used them in promotion of their rides? These are scale hobby grade models.

It does look great at this speed, but bare in mind that this video has been slowed down to 25%. The real speed of the model is 4 times as fast!

These arent toys. Id never give one of these to a kid as a gift. Theyre minature scale models, ive had one for over a decade and it runs like its brand new. They are VERY finnicky and can be a bit difficult to maintain and keep running.

I have the original scorpion model (maroon & yellow) brand new in its original box. Only opened it to verify contents, otherwise its been untouched. Any idea what its worth, or how I can find out?

I bought this many years ago and it has since been discontinued.. that said, they have done some recent runs of it, I believe they’re re-releasing the longer-tracked model at the moment so worth sending them a message on facebook
