@@willemb Yes great for more than just gaming with its high PPI. Also ideal for PAP mode to show PS5 / PC side by side. Can I ask, what music this is, or please in future vids can you give details in description or link? Like those beats you choose man...
Yesterday I did Bathurst race but with the Ferrari instead of the Porsche… frame very stable at 90 all time but only if I put the time progression on 1x… I really love the feeling of this game
Overall feeling kinda surprised me, in a positive way ;) Performance could be optimized better ofc, just like the ai :p But still a pretty solid alpha if you ask me ;)
@ indeed, I remember old days with early access of Assetto Corsa: lotus Elise, free practice, and 1 track… as you mention still a alpha but it is pretty solid and enjoyable
@willemb playing on low medium settings and 1080p I’m getting 50-60 fps, I mean it is a laptop at the end of the day so I’m more that glad that it runs like that, even more so being an early access build
On a practice session its mostly capped at 144, but in a race around 110-130fps (ultra settings), but I'm playing in 3840 x 1080, wish I could do 5120 ;p
The first racing simulation in which the rear-view mirror is displayed authentically. You can see parts of the interior and the rear wing, for example. Other simulations only show the outside world in the rear-view mirror.
FOV is set at 30, keep in mind that for the replay I use the cockpit view (with wheel) distance -5 and pitch 5 , and for racing the second cockpit camera (no wheel) distance -35 and pitch 3. (same FOV 30). Set height to your own liking, res is 3840x1080 btw But different cars use different settings (in my experience) but fov stays the same ofc.

@ my after 5 years now whenever I don't play everyday when I turn on appear some black lines on it it goes way just changing the hz of monitor for example... idk maybe this year I will invest in new one my was like 1.2k when came out I bought it like for 900bucks and I was thinking about 3x monitor setup but that includes changing all my setup again right but I love playing in ultra wide monitor idk and my is also curved... and I'm actually looking for the Samsung Neo I think is the biggest ultra wide monitor I can find right... @@willemb yeah I have the same opinion... seems pretty good for me... so my it's only 1080p but my GPU is solid to play at least at 80/100fps in 4k but nowadays it's so crazy because you have so many types oled and non oled... if you had to upgrade or when you gonna do it what you gonna choose?? on my desktop I play most racing and truck simulator so I guess oled because colors??
I think racing games graphics reached peak during Forza Apex release on PC, and since then was sonly stagnation, only with skyrocketing the requirements for hardware. I just watched a 4K video from 8 years ago, with first person view in the rain, it was really similar to this. Also I noticed in Apex better puddles on track during rain, real physical aquaplanning, rain accumulation in road fissures and more realistic water splash physics from the cars on high speed.
I think you could be right, altough every studio has a limited amount of resources that they can spent on things like graphics and physics, I think Forza is always been more on the graphics side ;)
I'm not at all in the sim racing world but as far as I'm informed Forza is an Arcade and does not really simulate the Car accurately compared to AC EVO that is a Sim. I'm guessing the calculations for accurate car physics takes a lot of power besides the Graphics. Also, I think we slowly reache(-d) a peak with what a raytracer or pathtracer can calculate in realtime. I think we need to see Quantum Computing beeing optimized for Visual computation (if that ever happens) to really make another leap forward
Do not impulse buy, do not impulse buy, do not impulse buy.
Looks good!
Buy and you'll not regret 😎
it's kunos, buy it
@zlyable the monitor, not the game 😭
You'll need the 4090 as well 😂 and a new CPU and power supply, probably some better RAM too.
Bought 😂
Looks impressive! 🤩🤩🤩
Awesome video editing! Thank you for this, very enjoyable!
Enjoyed the edit. Subscribed. 32:9 gang.

Willem, nice upload, 👍. On top of that, music is 👌
Looks nice on my G9 57
Thanks for uploading
That's a sick screen ;)

I mean i love iRacing, but this level of graphics is insane!
Graphics are crazy, althought the physics of the car (outside view) still looks better in iRacing ;)
Finally some good video for my g9 49"

I hope there’s AI in private lobbies so me and my mates can race with a full grid
This game can truly look amazing, I'm just sad that my rtx 3060 cant run at it's peak

What kind of fps are you getting? Similar setup here and can get consistent 120fps at 5120 x 1440 but definitely not in Ultra mode.
