64 Bug w/Sunroof this will be my first VW restoration. I'm 73 and restoring it my wife, as her 1st Car was a 64 model. I have already watched several of your episodes and found very helpful.
VW Life hey I have a decent video idea for vw life How to keep your air-cooled engine cool in the summer. What do you think ? I mean I know it’s hot in Texas and here in Southern California it’s getting there
That's my favorite part of starting fresh on a new project, cleaning it all and prepping it for what you have in store for it!! Keep up the great work fella's! Your channel keeps good encouraging vibes flow at our house and keeps my projects moving forward! Thanks again!
Yep a clean slate! Thanks for the compliment. We've had a lot of comments like that. We think it's great that we inspire others to get stuff done. That's what we we are after with this channel
We were at Fun Fest VW show this past weekend...my son has a vw life sticker on his 6v power wheel bus and several folks commented on your channel! Keep it real guys! Folks love what you are doing!
That's awesome Marci! We actually got "recognized" in public yesterday! It both cool and a little weird. We drove north and recused a beetle in a small town which made it even more unbelievable. #vwlife
Love the deconstruction and cleaning parts of the video and especially the speed with which it all took place. Wow! Just a few minute left but i am energized and excited!
You guys are awesome! First time watcher. Just getting back into the scene. I and the wife got the "bug itch" again! Would love to win this and get back on the road. Will continue to watch
Thought I might add this. I am a hot rod/old american car guy at heart. Right now i own a 1952 Dodge busness coupe low rider. I stumbled across your vw life page one day and after watching a few vids I was hooked, or should I say " bit by the bug". No, I won't give up my business coupe, but you dudes got me looking for an old vw to start working on/drive. Damn, guess I am gonna have to buy all new tools to work on it. Oh well, cars is cars. Great videos, and it looks like y'all have a lot of good times. I will keep y'all posted on what I find to work on. I see a road trip your way in the future.
good tasg team on the beetle, like the process of cleaning then storing. I can do a beeter job with stooring now that I have so many vw projects going at the same time. I seen many use Comet to clean it up used the as a kid a lot when my weekend chore was to clean the bathroom befor going outside in playing..
Awesome Work! You guys are knocking it our quick already...Tell Matt to be careful where he’s putting those camera angles 🤣 We may need to change the page rating with the between the leg shots...Enjoy! Milo
HB is responding to all the attention. She was so sad looking when you got her. She is perking up well. Be careful of those "unintended discharges ". You could put somebody's eye out! I'm impressed with your method of storage. It makes sense to rehab the parts before putting them in storage. I would recommend that you get one of those chimney charcoal starters. It really prevents the icky fuel taste. Thank you for posting another beautifully edited video! Best wishes, Ivor
You always have a great show, sometimes I wish they were longer but I know you do a lot more than videos. I've got a '72 beeter that my daughter got in high school in 1999, I inhereted{?} last year when she needed a new car that had A/C. I'm working to make it look like a mid 60's car. keep up the good work I enjoy iy. Barry
Thanks very good luck with your project that should come out nice we've seen late 70s beetles turn into early beetles pretty easily as far as I could tell
I like the to do lists on the wall. I normally have that scratched out on a chunk of cardboard. Have to follow your lead and get a little more organized.
Well, the old bug all stripped down and clean. Now the fun of seeing it come together and I would like to see how the radio is converted to the blue tooth if you would be so kind to a video on that it would be appreciated if the could do so. And like an always great video.
Fine here ! Working on 2 projets, '82 Beetle (limited edition 'special bug' in Marsrot), and a '73 Westie that needs a ton of work on the bodywork, but vas a mint chassis and interior, lots of fun
Guess I'm gonna have to arm wrestle Laureano for the Beetle when you get here to Bradenton, Fla ;) lol Great breakdown video. Saved another lost soul !
I just came for the free goodies but then I saw you guys have good content too! Sub'd for sure and excited for the build videos! I have my '66 named Lucy torn down to every last nut and bolt ready to get the full monty!
When i wash a car with oxidised paint, i put a capful of Jif (household cleaner) in a 20 liter bucket of water and sponge wash the car down with it. Quick and easy and sometimes,no need to buff.
Can you explain the process that you used to wash off the grime and not ruin the patina of the paint? The chemical and abrasive pads you used specifically? Looking great!!
Awesome yeah it's going to be really cool actually we have a playlist of five videos for the Harvest Beetle here's a link. We explain it mostly in the second video I believe Harvest Beetle Playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLfKjIUlGh-s3NoEgoISgh4y0Sf2hnlVy0

that car is so solid ! What did you guys wash / sand it down with ? Your keeping the OG paint right ?
