@@weirdalfan1980 chiropractor college is not medical school. It's not even community College. Chiropractors shouldn't be allowed to call themselves doctors. They do help people, but let's be real their contribution to someone's recovery is limited. Basically an intense massage with popping some joints, it relieves pain but doesn't fix problems.
He is the truth. The techniques that he’s using are safe and effective. The fact that the client even threw his arm up shows bond and trust. When I seen him drop the head rest though, I instantly wanted to be the client lol.
I pretty much have the same problem and can attest those deep elbows are brutal. I need to get this done more often. Great all around treatment for a chiropractor.
Yes I have had this type of massage it is normally refer to as nmt, neuromuscular therapy, at least that is what physical therapists call it. Other names include a trigger point therapy, myofascial release or deep tissue. It hurts a lot but you can touch your elbows together behind your back when they're finished with you. Definitely beneficial for weightlifters.
Hi Dr. Johnson, Im a massage therapist and I'm really learning a lot from your videos and now I don't feel so bad about the deep tissue work I myself do, since you've reinforced that it IS effective and needs to be done! Question....my face cradle is not adjustable like yours and I have large clients with short, very meaty necks and in prone it's almost impossible to access the levator-to-occipital deep tissue move you do with your fingers/ or possibly knuckles as I sometimes do. I find it so frustrating. Is there a way to get better access when prone and they barely have space for any techniques?!! thank you!
Well, I'm not any kind of an expert on anything at all, but would a table with an adjustable face cradle be too expensive? If so, would it be too difficult to just modify your table that you do have? You could maybe get necessary supplies at Home Depot or something.
Is there any reason you didn't use one of the tools that you have shown us in previous videos? Or do they have a different affect? Thanks for posting! God bless!
Dr.Gregory, I have had chronic pain for almost 40 years. About 4 years ago I had back surgery which was a huge mistake because not only was the surgery a failure but I am much worse. Could you help me.
Hi Dr. Houston I've been dealing with sciatica for almost a year and I'm only 33, pain medicine works for a few hours only but whenever I have lower back pain that radiates to my leg where the sciatica is the only thing tha works is my gf. Walkin on my back for like a min. She gets tired, but you hit all the right spots in this video I wish I was in Houston I would come and see u in a heart beat. Please help I'm in severe pain 24/7. I live in boston ma.
+William G. Its possible but I would doubt it; most likely he asks clients if they don't mind being filmed and leaves it up to them. He's not running ads or making profit on these videos, just possible advertisement of his practice. Besides don't forget a lot of this is covered by health insurance for a fair amount of people.
My husband has a very stressfull life...he he...even before he met me :P . Anywhere i touch him and try to message is painful. How and where can I start to message him? Does he need to "put up" with the pain to begin with for it to get better? Thanks for any advice on where to start.

I lifted a heavy item 6 months ago and since then have had occasional back spasms that leave me bed ridden for days at a time. I wish you were in florida. it's unbearable at times!
+Sara Jayne Perhaps it feels like a hassle, but if you can't find a proper specialist near you why not take a trip? When your talking about your health and well being especially in the long term its worth going out of your way to fix. The difference between finding time to take a trip to Houston and deal with pain for the foreseen future, especially when that pain could potentially get worse as time goes on.
+Sara Jayne I know the feeling, I'm a working college student myself. Plus those two jobs can't be helping your back any. Well maybe you can at least find somebody in your area. When I sprained my ankle very badly about a year ago, it turned out that my health insurance covered acupuncture so I tried it. To my surprise it worked wonders. Your issues quite different, but my point is you never know if some kind of fix might be covered and thus could help you out.
warm the tissue, if not you're just hitting the superficial muscles and the pain he's having is definitely damaging the cold superficial muscles and not the ones causing issues in the deep tissues
"You always want to have the patient continue breathing." Yeah. It's probably bad if the patient is no longer breathing. That seems pretty obvious, Doc.
I don't know how this video doesn't have more views. It's bloody fascinating and even somewhat relaxing to watch.
All of his videos are actually pretty relaxing to watch lol
Angel kabane Google
is nice to see a doctor who actually does anything other than simply prescribe drugs

I really appreciate how he explains things and shows how to do good deep tissue .

Went through 10 years of intense study. Treats people by a Russian massage. Respect...
I've had this done by a female sports Physio who had quite skinny & bony elbows & I can confirm it bloody hurts but sorted me right out!

also, using deep techniques over top the spine, probably not the best practice... or maybe it's your job security, keep them coming back
you'd want to strip laterally to the TVPs
