Sitting at 11 shinies for the event so far: 3 hoothoot, 4 jigglypuff, 2 wurmple, a wooloo, and by far the best shiny I have caught in a long time - shiny Galarian Articuno!
I was just saying this to my gf yesterday. I never got the shinys even though I was grinding all past events, so it's still fun to get them finally, but a little of that magic is gone for sure, now that their not so rare. Gonna try for XXL, xxs, and lucky shinys to add some extra pizzaz lol

This has been the best new years event ever, I never had any the costume shinies piror and I got 5 shiny Hoothoot one being a xxl, 5 shiny Jigglypuff and finally shiny Wurmple which seemed to take forever to find 😅 also got shiny Raticate from win a raid task I did already have that one upon its release
In my opinion, all Pokemon Go players have encountered Legendary Galarian Birds flee away after trying to catch it, this is a normal outcome, but if players trying to catch a Pokemon which is green circle when tap and hold PokeBall, then flee away this is f******g bad luck. I don't forget, Happy New Year 2025 to all.

Love this event, first 4 mins of the event and the first one i clicked was a shiny Jigglypuff. Then I also got a shiny Wurmple and hoothoot yesterday. Today I got ANOTHER shiny Jigglypuff and the first pokemon i caught today was ANOTHER shiny hoothoot! Another crazy thing was i caught a wild hundo durant!
Honestly I’m really happy with this event. I didn’t have any of these shinies. I wasn’t able to grind hard for last year’s New Year’s event because of badly hurting both my ankles. I’ve already gotten a shiny Jigglypuff, Wurmple, and Hoothoot despite not being able to play much yesterday. Thank you so much for everything you do and I hope you have an amazing New Year!
I have gone HARD on the tasks for this event trying to get pikachu and I almost feel like the task encounters are not booster. Well over 300 quests over the past 2 days and the only shiny I have is a raticate. Lots of wild shinies though. Ive seen a couple pikachu in the wild but none of them have shined
Trying for the Wurmple but was able to get 3 shiny Jigglypuff amd 1 shiny Hoothoot which ended up being a 93 in the wild, and i was able to encounter Raticate on my daily incense
Magearna expected will be Mythical Pokemon for Pokemon Festival in 2025 hence Mega Metagross is the summer 2025 mega raid day Pokemon. Gigantamax Duraludon will be max raid day summer 2025 as well? All steel type Pokemon.

32 shinies yesterday. Only need wobbaffet. And I catched a basculin blue stripe yesterday too just after midnight. Fyi Pikachu is in the wild and should be boosted but it's really rare. Ratticate is also in wild but idk if that can be shiny in wild with party hat
I was watching Milo’s video yesterday when he mentioned the shiny boost. All day I hadn’t gotten anything after watching his video I got a shiny wurmple and a shiny jigglypuff then today I 3 more shiny hoothoot and one more wurmple. I hadn’t gotten any of these shiny costumes
I had the worst luck of anyone in the world playing this game today. I walked all over a densely pokestopped university campus and got 1 shiny ALL DAY I even forgot they could be shiny 😭 I agree with what you said about starters and nidorino I hatched terrible 7kms all day just a bummer and caught a wild nidorino that I thought should have been in a costume
MY final shiny count for the event is 11 jiggs, 10 hoots, 7 wurms, 2 rats, 1 beanie chu, and 1 female wobbuffet. Missed one chu for the family and the male party hat wobbuffet. Better luck next time!

No matter how many Wurmples I clicked I never got a purple I kept getting tricked because of the inside of his hat being purple I got two Jigglys and one Hoothoot I’m so thankful but I’m sad I didn’t get the purple wurmple

Probably the minority here but this event crushed me. We grinded so hard for these last year and they are just giving them away now.
