This Video Is For Educational Purposes. It is meant to show the psychology behind how police interact with suspects to try and get their confession.
In this jcs inspired true crime documentary, we take a look at the interrogation of Rebecca Fenton. When Rebecca calls police claiming an intruder came into their home and took her husband's life, the police have to figure out exactly what happened.

Lmao!!!!! Dude, I was thinking the same 😂😳😳
Fwiw- most murderers get caught because they do things like this.
However people model all kinds of body types because the people who spend money in most families aren’t 22, beautiful and with s perfect figure.

When the person who calls 911 continually brings up their alibi over and over instead of focusing on the victim you know they're guilty
No doubt
Ive always thought that too….
You could also infer they’re worried about how things may look because they know they’re innocent.
that was my thought exactly. Nobody even asked where she was, they were all focused on the dead victim. And she's like But I totally wasn't even here. I just got in the door I swear!
Yeah, when she specified about attending a morning meeting, then adds "about 200 people saw me there.."
It's extremely important when you call emergency services to let them know if you've just come back from the gym or not.
😂
First thing she did when she called 911 was to tell them her alibi and the motive for the murder. Huge red flag IMO.
Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people dont kill their husbands. 😂
This is why I avoid the gym and sobriety.
I can see someone saying I just got home my blank is bleeding
How she wasn’t arrested based on the first interrogation is strange enough , but how she still lasted 5 more years as a free person is simply beyond me…
Me too. She admitted taking a call when she was in the “gym” when her car was supposed to be in the car. So many holes in her story.
I know why she was not arrested and stayed out of prison 5 more years after murdering her husband...

It's crazy how you can literally hear her flipping towards her general chit chat voice and then remembering that she is being interviewed by police about the husband she just murdered 😂
“I do a little bit of modeling” was definitely the least believable statement she made in that interrogation room.

It’s interesting when narcissists repeat things they want you to think about them. Just in case you didn’t hear her the first 10 times, she’s in AA and volunteers
i think the point is she's trying to paint herself as a good person who wouldn't do bad things.
all while saying “I can’t believe I’m breaking my
anonymity” when it isn’t against any rule to admit you’re in AA or that you’re a sponsor or that you volunteer. It just means that you should never share anything about another member or repeat anything heard or seen while in AA. It doesn't require you to hide your membership from people you know or trust or… the police 😭
@@_Julkplus she had a strange idea how AA works, especially as she was sponsors others. She was worried about breaking a non existent AA rule but says she still smokes dope, being sober means just that and doesn't involve taking drugs instead of alcohol.

It's always a sign when a person calls 911 and proceeds to give an alibi rather than getting help.
I was in the gym. It was a burglary.
Right!!!
911? Yes Hello, I didn't murder anyone by the way. Er yes mam what is your emergency? Er there isnt one theres been a burglary though and I didn't murder anyone, especially my Husband. Oh by the way my husband is dead it was a burglary. By the way I didnt kill anyone I found a body though.

So true!!!!😊
19:24 🤨 I question this also lol
I really like how she's about to explain how her front door automatically locks after a few minutes... But then realizes that would make her story impossible so she just stops talking and the detective lets her trail off and then asks another question.
Haha!
i thought that too lmao
I caught that too... she had an, "oh crap" moment
stops and says, "I feel like I can't think"
😬😬
So she finds her husband dead, checks the entire house to make sure nobody's still there even though she has no way to defend herself, then decides she has to leave the house in case somebody's still there. Lol.
Yea..that's pretty suspicious. The natural human reaction to a dead body is terror and aversion. Depending on the person, someone finding the dead body of a loved one might overcome the terror in order to try to resuscitate the victim. When told that my Dad had died, my reaction was vehement disbelief. The shock took hours to dissipate, during which time I was speaking normally (according to others), but from a distance (to me). I can only imagine how I would have been reaction if I had thought that others suspected me of killing him.
@@leanie5234 I’m sorry about your dad. The shock of the death of a true loved one is very difficult.
@@leanie5234 you have my sympathy, if there’s any “good” to come of the awful situation regarding your dad it’s the fact you clearly have a lot of love for him and that in itself is a beautiful thing. Way to fuck up a perfectly convenient way out of getting away with murder
A ridiculous story,
This case is weird. They found the murder weapon _in her car_ the day after the murder, but decided they didn't have enough evidence to prosecute her. Then her house conveniently burned down, but there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute her. But then some random hobo claims she threatened to kill him "just like larry" and _that's_ the missing link??? Either you left out a few crucial details or the cops in Florida are really just f'ing around some days.
Absolutely incompetent
I'm gonna play "devils advocate" for a moment here...
Gun was found, but no fingerprints. There were no gun powder stains on her hands. House burnt down but there was no evidence to how it started. Just because we "know" someone is guilty, doesn't make evidence to convince a jury. Could have been possible that one of her "AA" pals relapsed and "went crazy" or something. I am NOT saying this happened; but, this is the problem with "circumstantial evidence".
If they had prematurely brought this case to trial, she very well could have walked; without the possibility of being charged for the same crime again (double jeopardy).
Not all evidence is equal. The suspicious "circumstantial" evidence would not have been enough; without the guys testimony about "kill you like Larry".
If flimsy evidence was enough to convict someone, there would be a heck of a lot more innocent people in prison. There is an old adage that goes: I'd rather see 99 guilty men go free than to put 1 innocent man in prison.
Exactly! Unbelievable they had all that solid evidence and she walks away free but a hobo flings out a flimsy accusation and that's the key to the case? Absolutely weird.
@@tobiasisback4605 From the line of questioning of the male detective there, I could tell he was definitely thinking that she did it. No idea why that wasn't acted on though. Yeah, definitely weird.
@Mall Ninja “a random hobo” 💀😂. But yes. You are correct. I think there might have been holes in the narration.
Five years with the literal "smoking" gun and the police did nothing? Are you kidding me?!

She’s a “model” for cigarettes and alcohol ppl 😂😂
No one who legitimately walks in on a loved one on the floor in a puddle of blood is going to worry about incriminating themselves by having blood on them nor would they be indifferent to figuring out who did it.
Exactly.
What if your loved one has hep-c from sharing syringes...
@MatrixAgentFoxMulder I've faced this delimma as a medical worker. If you don't know 100% gloves are always first. They don't tell staff in direct care that a pt is HIV or Hep C +. They expect you to assume they are.
In this situation, if I knew a loved one had a blood borne disease I'd have gloves somewhere easily accessible. I usually do even though no one in my house has a blood borne issue. Even in the car.
That delimma is just a reality of medical care and first aid. So always be prepared.
@@MAtRiXAgEnTFoXMuLDeR .....what a weird thing to say

Watch out for people who start off a 911 call, with their "alibi" 😮 and who lights up with smiles, in front of media, at the scene of her husband's murder 🤔
The cop was smiling with the bimbo
Exactly. She reminds me of grieving actor...I mean "father" Robbie Parker from the Sandy Hook charade, who walks out into a press conference laughing, joking, and unknowingly mumbles into a hot mic.."So just read the card..?".
Her biggest mistake... "I didn't touch him bc if I was covered in blood, it might've incriminated me". This is what she was thinking when her husband was lying there dead.
But her interview worked!!!! She was NOT arrested, only the fire for insurance and someone snitching on her caused the arrest---many years later. Bottom line, these detectives were fooled and Rebecca met her objective.
Then she had the gall to say “maybe I’ve watched too much tv” and then asked “what kind of shows” out of all shows she says “CSI”!!😂😂
If my loved one is lying in a septic tank and drowned I would still attempt mouth to mouth. Not trying to be gross but there is just nothing including blood that would stop me. Plus they can tell how blood is transferred so that would never be an issue. She is a nutcase though so I can see her not helping him regardless.

My husband died from cancer, but I do remember one time, he had been sick & I can't remember what I was doing, but I heard a thud, like someone fell...I came running into the living room & found him on the floor, face down...it scared me so badly...I never thought to check for a pulse...I did call 911 right away, no other calls...but, when the dispatcher asked me if he had a pulse, I told her I didn't know...I hadn't checked him...I was scared half to death, just seeing him lying on the floor like that. That was long before he died, but he had cancer 2 times previously & beat them both...I still today, wonder what on earth scared me so badly that I never thought to check for a pulse!! Just thinking about it now, still makes my heart race a bit. It turned out he had an infection & wound up in the hospital for a week on antibiotics...thank God he recovered fully. He'll be gone 30 years this coming Dec & I still miss him terribly every day. Cancer is such an awful disease though...it took him a small piece at a time & I hated so much watching him die that way...he was my hero...such a fighter!! I have to say though, in a case like this, I would not have been able to leave my home...I'd have called from inside the house & stayed with my husband...hoping & praying that he was still alive & even trying CPR...anything but leave him there alone!! This woman does a terrible job at lying...talking again & again about only being allowed to shoot the gun inside the house!! I wouldn't have been able to talk at all, if someone had shot my husband like this...I would have been so devastated that talking with the police would have been next to impossible. She was evidently having an affair...that's why the change in her looks, that the neighbors noticed!! My Dad died from cancer too...I was there, helping my Mom take care of him for the last 4 months of his life...I can still remember vividly the morning that he passed away, not being able to tell Hospice that he had died...for some reason, I could not get those words out that morning...I just said "everything is done here"...I still can't believe how stupid that must have sounded...I have no idea why I couldn't tell them he had passed. Strange things happen when someone dies, even if you are expecting it...when it actually happens, it's hard to say how you will react, but this woman clearly is lying!! If she really thought he might be still alive, because his eyes were open, then why didn't she perform CPR?? That makes no sense at all!!

So an ex with a criminal past, claiming she said something was enough to finally charge her, but not all the real evidence they had before? She should’ve been arrested five years earlier.
Its uncanny how much the male detective sounds like Toby from the office!
Hahahah I can’t stop picturing this now
I’m with everyone here. She gave out way to much information on the 911 call. Strange. And to leave your loved one before the ambulance arrives is just ridiculous.
And she apparently never tried to give him cpr just left him there bleeding...
Not that crazy if you think someone might still be in the house. Her version is insane though that she cleared the house. Also if someone is dead as dead can be, i don’t give a fuck I ain’t doing CPR.
If she feared the killer was still in the house, many things would make sense. But she went around and cleared the house.
Im not sure why clearing the house came to mind after walking in on a loved one who is covered in blood. If it was my woman or child, the devil himself wouldn’t keep me from them. Clear the house. My god like she is special forces or something. As well. Look at how she was acting with the police officers. Laughing and carrying on like she was at the bar with friends. Just plain weird.
@@michaelw234 - According to her statement, she wasn't sure he was dead. Also, if you're scared, you would leave the house, not go running around the house in hopes of catching the person. What would she have done if she caught this supposed person? Be dead?
She gave herself away as soon as she said the front door was unlocked, but in the same breath said that the door “is set up to um…. I feel like I can’t think”
She was about to say “set up to lock itself” but stopped herself knowing that she would be caught in a lie. And that a person wouldn’t be able to come through the front with an automatic locking door.. so no robber could have just walked through the front.
Ah, the front door and her halting at explaining something about it...yes, I think you're right, that it would lock automatically. (Was that point ever explored?)
I just caught that. Yea she almost gave it away. She left more questions and suspicion than answers lol.
Who even remembers what drawers were pulled out etc when their loved one is dying on the floor too. Not to mention her back and forth about trying to get help quickly...by wandering around the house. I don't know what people see in these fake people (even the faked ''good sex''). I bet that's how she sucked him in.
@@bonnies.d.1121 I don’t think so. Even if they didn’t catch it during this interview Im hoping they noticed it while investigating the scene. maybe they did, but they don’t mention it any thing more about it. At least she made 100 more mistakes tho and was caught lol
That’s interesting I didn’t catch that.
Ive watched so many of these that I can now tell who is guilty
The fact that she stayed free for 5 years is a tragedy
As a recovering alcoholic with plenty of experience with AA it's laughable that she acts like you're never supposed to break your anonymity and admit you attend AA 😂 You just generally don't use a last name in the meetings, it doesn't mean you're not supposed to talk about being in the program.
I've been in AA for a long time, never date a woman in AA, they are nuts.
My Dad attended AA when I was a kid and I remember him being very open about his recovery and I remember meeting his sponsor and everything. He’s now over 20 years sober and it completely changed his life, he’d be the first to break his anonymity to tell you that. My dad is the best man I know.
I was literally about to google what the rules were cuz I thought I had misunderstood this whole time
So they don't have the same rules as the fight club?
Sounds like you broke your anonymity too.
“I do some modeling”
“Do you have an agent?”
“Do I have an *angel??”* Lmao
I laughed or loud. Had to watch that part a few times.
"No, just a friend" 😂😭
😂
and it only gained an extra 4 seconds 🔥
She models bracelets
"It looks like a burglary!"
No... no it does not.
I love your style Mr Red Tree and you deserve all the money you can get from RUclips. I wish you would investigate why it took 5 years to bring her to justice when all the evidence pointed to her.
Guilty from that 911 call alone.
I thought the same
"Just came back from the gym" and in the police station "doesn't really matter if he's gone" and she was fishing for info as well " any suspects?"😅
Yes because she gave such a detail to 911 to give an alibi. She thinks she doesn't sound guilty.. SMH
@@CrazyQueen6yB And in answer to “What’s the address?” She announced for the secind time that it was a burglary.
“iT lOoKs LiKe A bUrGlAry!!!1!1” is some of the worst acting I’ve seen this side of PornHub.
I'm astonished. I know they wanted to make sure their case against her was solid. But they let a murderer walk around for five years. That's scary. They found the murder weapon in her car and never even confronted her about it until 5 years later. What if she'd killed again during that time?!
They didn’t think she was a serial killer.
Police incompetence, they had all the evidence they needed before the interview was over
I was thinking the same, 5years were enough for her to disappear
Bet she started to think she might have got away with it...
Most people who kill their spouses aren't serial killers and imagine they tried to charge and try her without sufficient evidence to ensure a conviction. She could be acquitted and walk entirely and never receive punishment for killing her husband.
Sometimes patience pays off. RIP Larry.
I’m in a 12 step program and it changed my life. However, like EVERYTHING else, groups get psychos who join aka narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths etc.
However, it’s a rarity not the mainstream.
Love this male detective! He was on to her immediately. But he’s so stoic and slick in his inquisition. Like he’s from a movie. Just shooting holes in her story every question 🎯
Well described "like he's from a movie". The insane amounts of contradictions and confirmations of guilt she made is something else. But it's the male detective that does "confronting" in such a calm way, it totally threw her off her game. He also uses silence really well. He'd just let her stew in it. Knowing she'd make contradictory statements.
Very Colombo.
This comment is it ❤
What's astonishing is that she thinks that the story she's telling even sounds truthful at all. No one has that much to say after witnessing something like that.
Must have sounded astonishing enough for these homicides detectives as they let her walk and roam free for 5 years 😬
@@philip-op6de the detectives don't decide on the sentence
turned out it worked thou... so the joke is on us for thinking how stupid she was while she escaped with murder for 5 years!
@@philip-op6de I thought these detectives were crap, but they knew she was guilty, the problem is they have to convince 12 jurors she's guilty, and I don't think they had that. Because of double jeopardy they only get one shot.
The funny thing is I'm in AA and it means the other people you see there should be kept anonymous, not yourself. She acts like she's breaking rules by saying she goes. People wear AA hoodies all the time😂🤷
This is my third acct I had to create (my G account keeps getting hacked)
I’m so glad I found you channel again!!! I’ve been hooked since Vera’s case.
I feel like my mind is inside my head you know ? Like it's hard to think ya know ? Lol 🤣 best dumb murderer quote ever .
It's crazy how she thought she got away with it for 5 years- thought she was scott free and finally could enjoy a big payoff by starting a fire. Gets the money, finally rich and free!! I can't imagine her devastation when she got life in prison, and any money she hadn't foolishly blown was all used for her lawyers❤ RIP LARRY
The whole "I didn't want to get blood on me" and "I thought it would be better for the scene" was very telling. Not to mention she went upstairs to see what happened or confront if someone was in the house but when she saw no one and went back downstairs to check her husband a 2nd time, knowing no one was there, she THEN felt unsafe and went outside. These investigators did pretty good not raising voices, leaving pauses and she filled in the inconsistencies like, at the end, she needed to do her narrative about the keys because they didn't ask that.
I was thinking along the lines of if I found my wife laying in a puddle of blood, the last thing in earth I would think about would be “I have to be careful in order to not be implicated for this”
But, she was LOADED and he better get out! She was loaded, alright. More like FOS! My 10 year old could tell a more believable story.
Yeah, you gotta be pretty selfish to see your husband potentially murdered, think he's still alive(according to her testimony) and not want to touch the body because you didn't want to be implicated. Who would think that when looking at their dying loved one? "Oh shit... hope i don't get blamed for this" lol
Yeah and I'm mad the interrogators didn't pick up on the cellphone being in 2 places. Her gym and car.
@@bonniebloom4953 Yeah, they dropped the ball there.
"LOOKS LIKE A ROBBERY," WHAT A JOKE
She keeps getting caught up on questions for too long a time and then she slides into sad victim role. How did these "detectives" not pick up on anything???? Talk about being worthless at your job
The second she said she's a model, she lost all credibility and you knew, from that point forward, you couldn't believe anything she said.
She could have been. Ugly people need pin ups too LOL
Possibly modeling for those like… crack abuse awareness stuff
Honestly man, her crusty crackhead self is full of crap if she thinks she could fool them with that one
Hahahaha. Funny. A model. 😂 For what?
'Before' pictures maybe.
It's crazy that her story would've been so much more believable if she said she checked him for a pulse and then ran to her car and drove down the street or something. Her going around the house and noticing every specific instance of ransacking was ridiculous.
Maybe she was running around doing the ransacking!
The self-help books 😅 😂
Scary……the police officer laughing with her….he must have been like oh snap! She did it!…….5 years to convict her …wow.
So..little story about this lady..
about a year ago I did some time with Rebecca Fenton in FWRC prison. She happened to be my "Mentor" in the short sentence program they have for people doing little time. And for a while she came off so loving and sweet and was considered the "Dorm Mom" but as time went by I started noticing things about her. She was a great liar!! I recall asking her for help moving my bed location for certain reasons and in there it's hard to get your bed moved. She told me to ask around her birthday (in April) when I re approached her on it, she claimed she never told me that and started picking at things I came to her for. That had nothing to do with it. I decided to walk away at that point because it was useless talking to her, and she told me " you don't wanna do that" and threatened to get guards on me. She then pulled me into the foyer after I did finally walk off. To try and talk it out while I was still upset. Went nowhere. I walked out and she hollered something at me in front of everyone. And put our business in the open. She's rude and soooo dramatic. I've heard this fake cry voice from her before. She's also a master manipulator. She lies so much it's ridiculous and I'm not surprised she passed a lie detector test. She has a split personality. One day she would be a certain person, and the next it's like she was different. One thing I'll say is...she's a good talker..at least in there she was..she was always able to convince the guards when she wanted something done...but here in this video since I now know this lady, i can tell you she is 100% guilty. She even stated to me once that she was gonna be down for a long long time because of what she did..mind you I didn't know her sentence or charges at the time. When I got released I started to hear all the stuff I was told about while locked up to be true. This lady is a sociopath at its finest.
And as of last year when I saw her (2023) she wasn't in the greatest health. Maybe karma 🤷♀️ I don't wish bad on her but she chose her path.
As a dude, women's prisons freak me TF out. I would way rather be at a male prison than a female one. My ex's uncle worked for like 15 years as a mens prison security guard, and wanted to take it easy and semi retire so he moved cities to a female prison and was out within 6 months. He said guys will beef, politic or fight it out, and it's done. While at the female prison, if you cut someone off in line, be prepared for multi year psychological, emotional, and physical torture for the rest of your stay or until the person finds a new victim. They were pulling hair and pouring boiling water on each other. Shit was nuts.
Im 0:23 seconds in , and im 110% sure she's guilty.
@Mint Chocolate Hot Sauce 😂, I've watched enough of these to know when you say that, your chances of being the killer skyrocket.😂
Why did it take you so long?
We need a game where they play 911 calls & we have to guess if they're guilty or not lol
@@wingit7335 I was kinda joking
@@wingit7335 No disrespect taken at all, I always appreciate thoughtful discourse, which your comment was. Maybe an emoji behind my comment would have made it a bit more clear that I wasn't being serious.
3:45 - When she says "At least two other people saw us there" the detective just gets up to leave, probably to go say "She's the killer." 😂
Exact same thing I was thinking “She did it!” To the officers in the back lol
The stark and benal "paintings" of just gray nothing on the wall add a nice touch of doom and hopelessness.
She had a morning meeting at 9:45 and she made sure to say 200 people saw here there.... 😂
I don't think Alcoholics Anonymous is supposed to be like witness protection. People talk about AA and doing 12 steps all the time without "breaking their anonymity".
What you see here what u say here stays here!
@@ashleewhittlesey7874 hear hear!
Well, we are not supposed to say others are in the meeting by giving names or talk about what's said in meetings

It IS alcoholucs ANONYMOUS, tho...ti be...fair
911 call: My husband’s been shot! It wasn’t me because I was at our makeshift gym in our MIL suite that was recently painted a nice blue color. My husband wanted the matte finish but I wanted semi-gloss. We compromised on eggshell. We were so good at compromising because we loved each other so much. I can’t believe someone did this! (And you know it wasn’t me because of all the needless details I just shared!)

The fact that she said she was a model in a serious fashion is hilarious to me. She looks like she’s been ran through & rough. Yet somehow, she’s a ✨model ✨
So sad. She was only concerned about whether he had a pulse or not. So cruel. So heartless. Her poor husband.
