One major reason behind serious decline of Pakistani cricket is that star players don't leave place for youngsters and new comers. In England, S. Africa and Australia we see that players get selected, they perform and then they leave the pisition for others. Same thing we see in India.
Virat and Rohit are two great players of modern cricket. Their services to the country are precious. But it doesn't allow them to continue for an unspecific period of time. No Way.

Agreed he is not a natural opener but then he had Rohit on other end . Why you need hoist / play the ball in air when you the amazing ability of finding the gap and running between the wicket is such that he gives run for money to youngster.. Cricket is all about venturing/ adjusting to the need of hour and he took . People judge him against long distance short / sixes but they fail to understand that his flick shot six on leg side from long on to mid wicket Is testimony to his adaptation/ new skill set in last 1 year or so. No body understands the game of cricket better than VIRAT when he is on crease / batting . Look at final match he was one one who scored 3 fours in first over and then couple more in next over .. Once the top 3 departed quickly he adjusted his game, built game with Axar. It’s a strategy to make single and ask other batsmen to go for runs because everyone is concentrating/ thinking more on getting Virat out .. once inning is built( to get respectable total) he accelerated keeping in his mind how many overs ( 6-7) are left and how many batsmen are left in dugout who can then leverage to get runs at double pace ..
Whether it is Afridi, Rohit, Sehwag I am never afraid of this people just because they play in air or hit more six they also give ample opportunity to get out quickly it is just their 3rd or 4th inning where they will make big one ..

It's indeed sad to lose 3 good players after a world cup. The team will have a lot of re building to do. Howeevr, India has no dreath of talent. We haev Shubman, Ruturaj, Rinku, Sai Sudarshan and many other extremely talented crickets sitting in the dug out, not to forget Sanju Samsin who is permanently there.
Rohitman and Kohli was far more important to us than any world cup.
