It will come out as a point cloud. You can insert pointcloud directly into Revit and trace over

Aura Aura edit in what way? You can remove and clean the scan up. There are various tools which will convert some of the data in 3 D objects and be used in Revit or AutoCAD.

Looks good but how is it a BIM model? the scanned result just contains geometric data, its essentially a dumb model. So where is the BIM element?
I don't think they're claiming it's a BIM model; it's just millions of raw data points initially. It needs to be processed first, then it's yanked out of the Printcloud and cleaned up in Recap or Pointsense, or something similar for eventual import into Revit (or whatever BIM platform you're using). Then, it's a BIM model.
E Yeargain ok thanks so one they processed and imported into Revit do you get full functionality as you would a Revit created model?
Not quite certain yet. I'm no expert, but I'm working on a Revit project in grad school on the subject, and understand the functionality is influenced by the resolution of the scan, and how cleanly the data is calibrated. There are a number of lengthy videos on the subject that would likely be more helpful than I. My primary focus is on its ability to produce faster and more accurate As Built deliverables to my clients. Cheers
