Next time you have a craft fair, these things will go like hotcakes. They are so, so cute.
I love how all the ducks sitting together looked like a massive crowd of ducklings that were going to follow you around! They came out so adorable! The hats are very sweet and I think you caught the vibe of the original videos so well.
I would like to suggest that instead of blue tack to hold the hats, look into what is called museum wax. It is a safe wax, that you roll into the size you need to hold the pieces together. It has a super strong hold and if you take them apart, you can easily remover the wax with a finger nail or popsicle stick or manicure wooden stick.
These may be my most favorite thing you’ve done from this series 🥺🤍
I hope Mother of the Mountain sees this! Also, the pop of the flowers coming off the stilts was fabulous.
the adorable little eyes you paint really popped on these little duckies! you really managed to elevate and already great mold with this concept to something truly magical and so sweet. i would get a kick out of lifting up those flower hats to see those sweet duckie eyes.
That's adorable. The little ducklings are so cute. Your idea to make the flowers was best. Glad it turned out like you envisioned.
I love these so much! I have a special affinity for ducks. In June of 2020, a mallard duckling got stuck in a machine at work and we ended up raising it at home since we couldn’t find its family or take it to a wildlife center. She eventually flew away and found a new duck family in a nearby marina to live as a wild, as she was meant to be. ❤🦆❤
Yay! So glad she found her way back to her family in the wild. What a great adventure for your pandemic memories!

The absolute best part was your reaction and enthusiasm for this project. The hat flowers are such a precious addition. Glad you ran two batches so you could test your process. Soooo adorable!❤❤❤ Since you added stems you could always poke a hole in the top and hang them like when you fire beads or chimes. It could help with the stilts.

Could you put a magnet in the duck head when you pour and the flower when you sculpt so that it securely attaches? That would allow you to do interchangeable shapes more easily. And maybe make add ons...a birthday hat, bunny ears, something Christmasy. Love this mold❤

You could use real dried flowers for hats too. Very cute. I love the ducks that you can see their eyes when the hats are on. These remind me of those garden ducks that have outfits for all weather, seasons, and holidays.
