Thanks for the mention. Good video with a lot of information. Personally I just can't get into the new FN high power as much as I can the SA. Shoot safe
I have owned mine for about 8 months, have over 1000 trouble free rounds thru it. Installed fn g10 grips and a fn front night sight on mine, the 509 rear night sight had a different dimension than the high power sight so I was not able to use it. Got lucky with a 2.5# trigger on mine. Never had the experience of holding or shooting a older high power, I really do like mine.
Lots of good info. I like the VZ grips, but I also wish LOK would come out with grips for this gun. As to black sights, if you want precision, black front and rear is the way to go. But for quick "close enough" combat, a fiber optic front does have an advantage. And it's definitely a "niche market" gun.
I have the same model but in black. Nice pistol only flaw is the right hand saftey lever is loose it wiggles a bit.I think they all are like that I don’t know.
@jetman1979 I agree. I believe all of them are like that. As long as they function properly, I'm not worried. I will contact FN about that, though. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
Got the fde one. Feels good but reminds me more of a 1911 feel than my old high power. Don’t care for the polymer guide rod either nor the fact it is so short it leaves a huge hole in the front where dirt can get down in and possible cause a malfunction : I would also much rather see Trijion or three dot combat sights rather than black target sights . Shooting a bit low for me so I’ll get some sort or other sights . Hope someone makes a stainless full length guide rod . The g10 grips are also on the buy list . No malfunctions so far gtg
@frankmoore7130 I agree!. There should be at least a Trijicon front sight and a steal guide rod, especially for the money you pay for it. I was shooting low myself. I just raise the firearm higher to eye level. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
I know that there are better and cheaper sidearm options for upcoming & new gun owners but I'd gladly buy the High-Power 2022 as my first pistol someday regardless of its price. I'm the kind of person that loves niche yet still practical handguns like the Rhino 30DS.
@Zleiff My friend let me shoot his Rhino, and it's a pretty decent firearm, I love my High Power. Wish there were more reviews on it. Hopefully, sales are good. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 that's awesome! Really, there's not many detailed videos about the High-Power 2022. Please excuse me for the long reply that you're about to read! To preface my long explanation, I am no expert at guns, just another person who's looking to get into them. Most reviews & comments I've seen ranges from valid complaints to ignorant insults about no parts compatibility, the gun being a "High-Power in name only", no slide cuts for mounting optics (even though you can swap them out for better sights which most people strangely don't know), "doesn't look like the original", costs more money than the SA-35 & no rails for flashlights. My analogy of the new High-Power is like the reimagined first season of Trigun anime series. Instead of mostly following the same story beats of the 1998 version, it decided to be it's own thing while still paying some homage to the original which ended up being badly misunderstood by its own fans. I believe the team behind the High-Power had a similar situation above, they design the pistol with utmost care in mind but got rubbed off the wrong way also by its fans, this is my take on it.
@Zleiff Exactly, I've couldn't have said it better. Somebody at the range said to me, "Where is the optic cut? Where's the rail?" I simply said, "Not every firearm needs those things."
@user-lk4nk1gy7 I think the FDE color is the best-looking one. Practical for me is the one I have. You can't lose with any of the color choices offered. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
I think the issue with these types of modernized throwback guns is that everyone wants to compare it to the original which also had a lot of flaws. If they would have remade the original people would bitch about needing to modernize the platform. When they modernize it, people bitch about it not being the original. It’s a nice gun with small hints of the old one. If they named it different then it’s for good reason. It’s not a Hi Power.

@Will William Nice! Mine has no issues. I'll need to put some night sights. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!

Is it stainless version actually more practical and pretty?

@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 matte stainless is a winner for me. controls in same colour looks better, i guess.
