I watch these videos to remember what passed by. He was our best midfielder and this was our best best season ever. He is back at his best. I mean he is back, he doesn't seem as tired as he looked 2 seasons prior. This current season performance is same as that 16-17 season.
I'm disappointed he doesn't make those amazing vertical and diagonal passes anymore. Now he's switching flanks and not as sharp with the shooting as he used to be

Also the thing is that camera angle, situations,etc make passes seem easier. Tbf he is getting ball more in the air so that it can't be intercepted and is trying to not lob over the defense. Now we don't have same players to make runs and control the ball. Just check his games with Germany, they have this old style of playing. More passes over the top, etc. They don't keep possession and he doesn't have as much touches as Real Madrid.

Real Madrid's midfield consists of Kroos(at his peak), Modric(at his peak for past 3-4 years), Isco(one of the best upcoming midfielder if not the best), Kovacic(will be one of the best midfielders in the future) and Casemiro(one of the best in his position) whereas Barcelona has Iniesta(past his prime), Rakitic(good but inconsistent), Gomes(Tree), Denis Suarez(plays as a sub in u-21 for Spain) and Busquets who's undoubtedly the only reason why we're somewhat able to hold on to the ball. It's quite obvious why Barcelona is struggling. Real Madrid has just started their days of glory and there's way more to come in the near future.

big franck No, watch Real vs Barca games, busquets dominates midfield almost by himself, with maybe help of iniesta while casemiro, kroos and modric can't compete with only one busquets. and iniesta, busquets and modric play more important roles in big games (el clasico, vs atletico...) then kroos. kroos plays good when team plays good. Just watch big games and you'll see who is better or just watch el classico.
