Trike Fest 2024 - How do you prepare for the biggest three wheeler event of the year??

- So, Trike Fest 2024 has come and gone... and I'm JUST getting caught up with pics and videos from our time at Haspin Acres. So if you're watching this and thinking Trike Fest is next week... it isn't... I'm just late in getting this edited. Anyway, in true "let's bite off more than we can chew" fashion, I decided to bring 9 machines with me to Trike Fest this year. For me, it's normally a 12 - 12.5 hour drive from eastern NY to Laurel Indiana. So it's a haul. My daughter was going for her 2nd time. My son Bennett was coming for his first time. He's in this video a few times... don't let his blank stares fool you. He's normal... just being a wise guy.
Anyway, almost every machine I picked to bring needed a little something... I got through everything in the video. Mostly just some carburetor cleaning type stuff. Some wiring work on the Pink Palomino. A couple oil changes on my ATC 350X and my sons ATC 250SX. We rebuilt the front forks on that machine too and did a tire change. The new Serwa Tires make that machine look nice and correct now. My lifted 200M needs more attention... but I brought it along for the ride just because.
What you'll see in this video is I have a tendency to go overboard and way overpack. Half of these machines I didn't even touch while I was there... except unloading them and loading them back up. But, it's all part of the journey. And stay tuned to see what I picked up along the way! I'll be getting to that in my next video!

Thankful for you to my friend, it was great meeting you and I am looking forward to the August event at your place!
I’ve really enjoyed your videos for the last few years, I would never have heard of trikefest if you didn’t make all these “stupid” videos for all of us trike enthusiasts! My sons are getting more and more interested in trikes and definitely spending time w me at trikefest! My twin grandsons as well…so, if I’ve never said it THANKS my friend for sharing your life and passion w other three wheeler lovers, and starting hopefully a lifelong tradition of Haspin Acres for Father’s Day week!
Man... thank you so so so much for that. That's so nice to hear and I'm happy I could have played a small part in that! So awesome!
Great video buddy! So cool to see you and your boy working together on 3 wheelers... Just don't blink , and enjoy every moment of it! Just finished getting all my machines and things put away from trikefest its so much work But totally worth it!
It was so great getting to meet you in person man! Very thankful for you. And thank you for the kind words! Bennett is definitely growing like a weed! I do cherish these moments so much!
Nice work. There are fork boots on Ebay that fit right on a Sx with no zip ties. We just put 2 sets on last year. Pricy but well worth it.
A lot of work. Good job brother
Thanks man!
What a great day, this old trike back with more 3 wheeler content and i just rode a 3 wheeler for the first time in 8 years today
Yes! 8 years is a long break! Welcome back brother!
@@ThisOldTrike the old 83 big red needs some more fixing but shes back in running condition.
Love it!
@@ThisOldTrike i love every minute with this machine. Its been in the family 40 years. My dads grandfather gave it to him, my dads given it to me. I grew up hauling firewood on this machine it will pull a trailer again this summer.
Hey Preston,
Keep up the good work my friend,
Much love to you and your father on a special day,
Love your content 👍
All the best from Newfoundland ❤
Thanks brother! I appreciate that very much!
Great video as usual!! Happy father's Day! Bennett is lucky to have a great dad like you. Have fun at trike fest can't wait to see the footage
Thanks man! I'm just glad to have him out there with me. He's definitely learning!
Rick it in like firewood...
Enjoyed chatting at TrikeFest... Tried to buy a nice 350x, no luck.. shouldn't have sold the 2 I had.. we all know what they say about hindsight.. 👍👍👍
You're one of the guys I enjoy catching up with at TF Doc. Time goes by way too fast there!
50:54 need that tricycle guy patented expanded metal
One of these days...
I gotta give it to you man! I don’t know how you keep up with all those machines! You do a good job at it though man!
Man, I appreciate that... it's endless and gets overwhelming a lot... but I just keep moving forward.
@@ThisOldTrikeno problem man! And I couldn’t imagine I’d be stressed to the max! I go through it every year where I decided the extras or ones not too important to me just have to go lol
Just picked my first 250SX up the other day! It was not running. Got it running in a few hours! I am ready to keep fixing all it's issues
Awesome! They are fantastic machines. You'll definitely enjoy it!
@@ThisOldTrike The list I have of stuff to fix will keep me busy until next trike fest! But at least she starts, idles, shifts and stops!
Pick up a Honda 200sx if you find one. Picked one up in love with it.
I've had one! Awesome machines!!
Hey man im still on the lookout for a 350x to build. I am thinking about selling my 05’ cr250R and my 78’ Uamaha YZ400E to fund this project! Recently saw a few prospects on my local ads but i would prefer to build/purchase one like yours. Just an old rider with old dreams loking to get back into trikes. Great content as usual bubba!! God bless
Where abouts are you located man? Thanks for watching!
18:48 good thing someone noticed they have a dimple in every knob, or they would be 200x tires
I've learned from the best!
@@ThisOldTrike and he learned it from a book
WELL, NOW I KNOW WHO'S BUYING ALL THE 250Rs AND 350Xs, ALL HONDAS IN GENERAL! 😂😂😂
@@mikebarriball I may have a slight addiction.
Lol Better late than never 👽👍🏻
Yup! More to come!
I don’t know if you have these in America but in New Zealand we have instead of big red it is a super red
We never got the Super Reds. Like you said, over here they were all branded Big Reds.
I don't remember seeing Derek, was he hanging out with Vinnie?
Derek had to stay home unfortunately. He actually had a good reason though...
hello im am having a problem with my 1984 atc 200es it wont kill the engine with the key ignition, I can only turn it off with the kill button. and also it making clicking Nosie in reverse
you should get a honda riding mower! also you should do a riding video on a balloon tire 90
I've got a brand new zero turn... not Honda unfortunately. Not a bad idea on the 90 video! I'll do my best!
@@ThisOldTrike im surprised you like the idea. i guess just use the us90 that you know you cant hurt anything on
