Baker's reason for planting the flag originally was kinda silly. He took exception to Ohio State singing "Carmen Ohio" in the stadium after they won in Oklahoma. Coming from a graduate of Ohio State, we sing that win, lose, or draw. I remember singing it at the end of club meetings.

But yes, we sing Carmen after every game, in every sport, win lose or draw, and most intercollegiate club sports, and also after club meetings, some important events, graduations, convocations, orientations, sometimes even tours, occasionally at complete random, and multiple times in various places around campus after winning the national title in 2014. Just for a few examples.

A year later, we returned the favor then they decided to plant their flag at the Buckeyes Home Stadium and started singing their fight song after a huge win against the Buckeyes. Bosa planted the flag after winning against the Browns in "Revenge" on Baker Mayfield. But wait, Mark Andrews, the former Oklahoma player, did a flag plant on the 49ers after the touchdown and win for the Ravens. They are even now.
Chase Young had an opportunity to get some revenge last year but he only had 1 snap against the Browns and was Inactive the next week against the Ravens
It wasn’t the fight song, it’s called Carmen Ohio and the team and fans sing it after every game win or lose. They do have a fight song and it’s called buckeye battle cry

(Frankly, I think the big, exaggerated movements of planting an *imaginary* flag look goofy as hell anyway.) But it’s not like Mayfield called Bosa names or anything, so the voiceover guy being “disappointed” in Mayfield’s response, or saying that he’s “belittling” Bosa, is silly. Bosa belittled himself.
@@tripillthreat sure I guess so, to us who aren't professional athletes that live and breath the sport and who don't have rivalries with other players that span over years or in some cases decades then your comment may make some sense. They're both passionate about the sport they play and it's rivalries.
