Well, he took conq this game because he thought he may be vs cass.

You play conq into:
- Matchups with long trades
- Enemy comps that are very tanky (2+ tanks or lots of bruisers)
- Enemy comp doesn't have a lot of mobility so it doesn't necessitate phase rush for teamfights
- Enemy jungle has low threat so you don't need phase rush to avoid ganks.

Item choice depending on rune choice is a myth. They do not have to be related
