Okay, I recently realized that there are quite a few issues in the low end of this song that I simply didn't hear when mixing. Guess that's my cue to finally shell out for some acoustic treatment in the studio. Also, a remaster of this song is definitely in order at some point, I really liked this one and I want to get it right.
