      Unfortunately there’s no way to completely remove input delay when using a capture card without pass through

    • @Aaron_Bleu
      @Aaron_Bleu 14 дней назад +4

      Yeah, I’ve tried multiple apps to see if there is any difference but sadly the delay persists. Makes FPS games unplayable but could certainly be used for slower RPGs.

      You gotta get a better capture card there’s some with 120fps. The one I got I don’t notice a delay if anything cloud gaming has a much more significant delay.

    Id probably not use it for gaming but I can see a bunch of other uses. As a tech guy that’s often troubleshooting things and needing a quick monitor this is awesome! There’s so many times where I have a headless Raspberry Pi, some Mini PC, my ATEM Mini Pro or whatever where I just need a quick monitor to test things out, check if I’m getting a signal out, or do some fast small task this is really convenient. I have some other field monitors that I use with my DSLR’s but being able to use my iPad easily is great. Does this work with iPhone? That would be sweet too.

    It works, for me it feels like I’m playing in 30fps instead of 60fps, its probably due to the lag. But it’s a good alternative 👍🏼

    • @savedfaves

      @@CityLifeinAmerica The display area of the 16:9 aspect ratio 6.2" Switch compared to the 3:2 aspect ratio of the 11" and 12.9" iPad Pro models is about 37% and 26% respectively. So the iPad Pros have a display area 3 to 4 times larger. I guess the setup could maybe be justified given an appropriate travel circumstance such as a longer train ride?

    we got nowadays the elgato capture app. which only works with elgato capture cards, but as far i heard they are passthru for gaming to play portable.
    so i think the urion app is rather recommended to use such as remote camera or for troubleshooting.

    I wanna connect a usb dac (officially MFI supported) together with a usb-c 8bit do controller to reduce input lag and improve audio quality, does it work with any USB-C or doesnit have to be Thundebolt? (Not because of bandwidth, but because Apple could just create that artificial limitation) Make a similar video abou that!

      Hey smart, you can save 200 dollars on buying a dummy monitor and use the iPad you already have. If you choose to buy the iPad 10th gen, you then have a monitor plus a really good tablet for around 350. Use it 🧠🧠

    • @whatgaca
      @whatgaca 14 дней назад

      @SaVi0yo You need to buy a HDMI capture card, which costs $30. OLED 15 inch portable monitor is $200. I can use a portable monitor with any device without installing anything, plus, portable monitors have a faster refresh rate with zero lag. Using iPad is also limited to its battery. You need to charge your iPad, so no continuous use, unless you buy another hub that supports passthrough. Also, you need to buy a case or stand to use with iPad, a portable monitor comes with a dedicated stand. In addition, you can even use a portable monitor as an external display for an iPad. Someone doesn't sound that smart anymore
